Grid Records kick off their 2024 with Contrast EP, a mesmerising collection of future-facing tracks from certified one-to-watch Plebeian. The NYC producer is quickly garnering deserved attention for his acutely detailed and explorative bass productions reminiscent of Objekt and Djrum.

With the Contrast EP, Plebeian offers up four shimmering and lush dance organisms that exist in an ecosystem entirely of their own. Microscopic drum engineering coupled with flourishes of dubbed out percussion, moments of blissful beauty and infinitely oscillating synth swells, all distilled to create 4D soundscapes that will captivate and intrigue the listener.

Oscilla Sound welcomes Andriy K. to its Liminal catalogue with 'Poetry of the Vanished Territories', an audiovisual exploration of central and southern Ukraine's landscapes, capturing memories of fading places that linger between what was and what remains.
Using open source data and field recordings from the corresponding locations, Andriy K. and pryvyd layer abstract compositions with fragments of reality, blending nature and memory.
The journey begins with 'Lybid,' a tribute to one of the oldest rivers in Kyiv, that endures in its fight for existence. The diptych 'Kinburn Before' and 'Kinburn After' tells the story of a sandy stretch in the northwest of the Kinburn Peninsula, nestled between the Dnieper-Bug estuary and the Black Sea. Continuing the path, 'Ozon Dub' transforms matter's state, with water gradually giving way to gas, only to revert back to the salty depths on 'Oily Sea'. 
An archive of the transient, 'Poetry of the Vanished Territories' invites you on a journey through the spaces in-between.

Poly Chain is the project of Ukrainian artist Sasha Zakrevska. Sasha is a composer, DJ, curator, and graphic designer currently based in Berlin due to full scale Russian invasion. This mix comes in heavy and driven, spanning breaks, bass, and 4 to the floor. Truly a Friday forecast, the mix represents everything we'd hope to encounter on the dance floor this weekend.
