Even Spacemen Need A Home

So in true me style, this is unfinished, I spent zero time detailing it, no variations or polish, but the inspiration, as the name "Escape Velocity" suggests combined with the fact its a current muse of mine, is Star Citizen.

It's the idea of a desperate getaway, rough but visceral, reminiscent of modern spaceflight as opposed to the gentle, clincial style of 2947. It's a pirate in a hacked ship, overclocking the thrusters, experiencing the thrill of the chase, but under immense strain due to the g forces, forcing him to close his eyes and live the struggle of spacemen in ages past, or so he heard in the tales.

"He makes his last minute adjustments, clambering to get seated and start the engines. He takes a moment to evaluate if what was about to happen was worth the risk. Then he's reminded that it's only worth it because it's such a risk. He takes the plunge, and it's as much of a thrill as he'd hoped. He had gotten away with it... this time."
