Streetlights buzzing like they needed a friend,
I’d trace the same loops I never wanted to end.
My dad wasn’t violent, just loud when he drank—

Found peace with kids who lived two blocks down,

Cracking dumb jokes just to keep from breaking.
Those long-lost streets knew my footsteps by heart—
I walked them like scripture when home fell apart.
