The phrase “FOOTMAHI” was first brought to light by BFC founding member MUSHMANE of Tainui.

The story goes that the BFC were huddled up drinking a communal slab of 8% Cody’s on a bitterly cold Ōtautahi winters afternoon watching a young in-form Shaun Johnson absolutely tear the Sydney Roosters defence to shreds with his electric “footwork” - when Mushmane screamed out “LOOK AT THE FOOTMAHI” changing the course of BFC history forever all in the birthplace of The Big Fresh Collective; The Parage on 40A Richill Street, Belfast, Ōtautahi.

The Journey of Footmahi has taken us all over AOTEAROA working with & entertaining people from all walks of life that we are proud to call our Whānau ❤️‍🔥

The second vinyl release of MDM39 is a Various Artist EP where the label stays true to themselves and their pledge to - "support your local talents".
For the D.F.Ü. EP, four promising artists come together, each with a unique style but all with one thing in common - a relationship with the Magdeburg scene.
With Florian's "Rush" the A-side starts fast. Straight and uncompromising, the 909 percussion & deep melodies make the dance􀂢floor dream. The A2 track is a considered 7:46 min slow burner with deep dub echoes. Meditation stuff here from Tommes.
Renard's trippy deep-house tune,"Visit your Mother" creates spherical atmospheres and pumping lines invading from his soul to your feet. The B2 delivers Eros Miguel. His "Tribute" is an authentic deep bass monster, rounding off this versatile EP.

The artwork of the ZOOLA EP, made by Tim Hoehne, is a homage to the homeless animals of the recently closed social location „Zooladen“ in Buckau (district of Magdeburg). We bring together two passionate musicians, Elpierro and Tommes for this Split EP. Both with a deep feeling for music and a preference for hypnotic catchy dub chords. These endless delay loops for lovers of dub echoes and dreamy atmosphere are a call for more cultural freedom in Magdeburg.
