BIO
Radondo connects the dots between Italo Disco, EBM and experimental rock within his productions. Incorporating subtle nods to post-punk and dystopian cinema, the UK-born artist creates a map of his influences, weaving compelling narratives in the process.
 
The Berlin-based artist has built a versatile sound within the Italian Dance Wave movement, garnering a swift reputation for his take on the genre. His progressive DJ sets have seen him quickly become a prevalent figure within Berlin's scene, playing regular slots at venues such as Renate and becoming a resident at the revered Slow Motion Records parties. With a steady run of releases on labels such as Wrong Era, Discotexas, Ritmo Fatale and Fucanglong Files, he merges arcane soundscapes with ethereal, analogue synth lines illuminating ever-growing sonic threads. 
 
As a remixer, he has gained recognition for his captivating consistency and support from the greats. He has remixed the likes of Zanias, Justin Strauss, and Moullinex, tying in a fascination with the darker realms of Italo Disco. Radondo creates a compelling atmosphere filled with tantalising nostalgia through forward-thinking production and energetic selections that have lit up dance floors from Vilnius to New York.

‘Italorator is definitely one of my favorite shows right now. It’s a great honour to record this mix with some of what I consider classics, whether they are older or newer productions. 

I love classics, and it’s rare to find a space where you feel 100% comfortable to dive in and present your favorites from that time. There’s always a hidden gem here and there, and for me, Italorator is the new atlas for discovering them. Many thanks to Marsman and Operator for creating this space, which is so necessary to keep the movement alive and to give us the opportunity to share and learn with every new show. 

I dedicate this mix to my mom - she always loved new wave, Italo, and classic ‘80s songs. I remember when I was little, she would always put on those video cassette/DVD compilations, and I was hypnotized watching all the beautiful (and dramatic) video clips, always wanting to go back in time to live that era. I guess she has no idea how much influence this had on what I do. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy it.’

Today, we’re excited to invite our friend DJ Torso to join us in celebrating our gig at Soundit this Saturday, alongside Jennifer Cardini, Marcel Dettmann, and our label boss, Adrian Marth.

DJ Torso first discovered electronic music while dancing to the rugged sounds of the Asturias electronic tradition, his local region. As he began mixing, he gravitated toward slower rhythms, effortlessly blending genres like EBM, electro, new beat, and dark disco. Now, he’s making waves in the Spanish underground scene with sets that fuse driving body music, solid four-to-the-floor techno, and syncopated electro patterns. Rooted in the energy of the dancefloor, his sound strikes a balance between darkness and intensity, with melodies and atmospheres inspired by ’80s wave music.
