“Elixir” is the debut ZOOM LENS single by BEDSPACER. 

BEDSPACER is a crash-landed genderless alien who now lives in the closet of Mich Cervantes, a Manila, Philippines-based musician, producer, and award-winning illustrator who’s been a proponent of helping a new generation of women find and express their identity & sexuality. 

Born as a “lowly scout” to serve The Sonic Order of their home planet, one who deems prophetic importance & progression in the documentation of sound, BEDSPACER has spent their life recording, synthesizing, translating and interpreting audio from all over the universe. 

While BEDSPACER spends time in the closet fixing their space travel console to leave back home, Cervantes records the sounds which echo from within. Through their recorded collaborations, Cervantes and BEDSPACER learn of each other’s respective identities in this vast universe, leading the two to question what their own ideas of “home” mean, and with their shared creative efforts - slowly bridging the connection between “alien” and Earthling.

moon mask is lead-singer & producer Zeon Gomez, guitarist Felipe, bassist Dean Dela Cruz, and drummer Julio Del Prado from Manila, Philippines.

With Gomez originally recording under the project Ulzzang Pistol/U-Pistol serving as a producer for rising Asian talent on label ZOOM LENS & celebrated for his broadening of pop's cultural boundaries, moon mask serves as Gomez’s synth-laden, dream-pop band. 

The group have been at the forefront of capturing Southeast Asia’s burgeoning and often overlooked indie & shoegaze scene, echoing their Western contemporaries while interjecting their own identity. moon mask has met acclaim in their home of Manila, with their debut EP irreversible landing as one of CNN’s top local albums.

Alex Wang is an electronic producer born in Northeast China, primarily influenced by experimental noise, electronica, metal, and film soundtracks, the project sets to convey the confusion over utopian society.

A student of Recording Art at China’s Central Conservatory of Music, as well as Computer Music Composition at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, Wang’s output takes source from both academics and the underground music scene.

In 2017, his first EP “Black Dragon” was released under Beijing-based electronic label, Do Hits. Since then, his collaborations have included the likes of Howie Lee, YUEN HSIEH, YEHAIYAHAN, and JON WANG.

oh my muu is the electronic music project of Los Angeles-based producer James Im. The music of oh my muu reflects upon the universal experiences of love, reminiscence, and self discovery, taking a deconstructed approach at pop music, left-field beatmaking and emotive electronica. 

phoebe’s guitar is a group from Diamond Bar, CA. The pair has embraced elements of trip-hop, downtempo, and ambient, most typically honing its craft as a live act, expanding their songs much beyond their original length into blissful walls of trance-inspired dream pop and looped drum machines. 

"let's fall apart" is their first collaboration, detailing a relationship running it's course and choosing to walk away and let things fall apart. A sense of looking back at the good times despite the end. A couple holding each other as they're lit on fire.

Alex Wang is an electronic producer born in Northeast China, the project sets to convey the confusion over utopian society. In 2017, his 1st EP “Black Dragon” was released under Beijing-based electronic label, Do Hits. Since then, his collaborations have included the likes of Howie Lee, YUEN HSIEH, YEHAIYAHAN, and JON WANG.

“0%” is their 2nd EP, and their first on ZOOM LENS. 
 
A brutalist take on China’s Sinofuturist movement, “0%” pushes its artistic boundaries even further than its contemporaries by setting a violent, modern narrative influenced by the likes of Aldous Huxley’s “Brave New World.” 
 
To these means, Wang manipulates his vocals into contorted synthesized screams set amongst deconstructed dance music influenced by noise, nu-metal, black metal and sci-fi.
 
While not only reflecting Wang’s current home of Shanghai, but a societal shift of modernity and urbanization worldwide, the notion of “0%” is used to describe the cue point for new personal beginnings, a lack of hope, and the illusion of “0” flaws in a “utopian” world.

"Two Dreamers," the debut album by Japanese-American producer Exitpost, was inspired by recurring dreams. 

Born in Tokyo and raised in New York, Exitpost (real name Ken Herman) experienced recurring dreams throughout childhood where he’d wake up in Tokyo panicked, unable to return back to New York. Upon recent visits to Japan, he began experiencing the reverse - recurring dreams where he’d wake up in New York, unable to return to Japan. 

The dreams, manifestations of lifelong questions of identity and what “home” means to a mixed Asian-American artist, was the catalyst for the 9 tracks on "Two Dreamers."

Recorded in both Tokyo and New York from 2017 to 2019, the balancing act of cultural identities comes to the fold throughout the record, with songs that navigate English and Japanese lyrics, sound design paying homage to the regional sounds of the LA beat scene or Japanese folk music, and field recordings taken in both cities. Equal parts lush and atmospheric with bouts of chaotic sound design and aggressive percussion, the duality of identity, home, sleep and being awake comes to life in the tapestry of sounds he weaves. 

The LP includes collaborations with several other Asian-American artists, including LA-based lo-fi vocalist ESAE, New York producer-singer Hanaé, and Japanese vocalist Unmo.
