Originally 59 came to mind to play off the line 'now my rolls as smooth as royces' to create a flip/double entendre related to the rapper Royce da 5'9, this encouraged me to look up the number 59. According to angel numerology 'The number 5 signifies major life changes and freedom, while the number 9 signifies humanity and humanitarianism. The energy of the number 59 signifies adventure and expressing personal freedom. It is a symbol of change, compassion, curiosity, and wit.' This song, and particularly the phrase 'smell the coffee or smell the roses' is a call to myself to either wake up and smell the coffee, get active about combating the negative things in my life and the world; or continue to smell the roses. Indulge in vices, subtract myself from my surroundings and take in a rose tinted image of the world, continue in a dream like state as if these problems don't affect me, and try to live a very cushy self centred life. Sometimes waking up means leaving the people you lived with in that dream like state, not everyone can be militant or completely present, but I feel like I have to be. The instrumental by Kamal (https://soundcloud.com/subotica_palic) was named 'eco' and the atmospheric beat has a nature feel to it with a strong kick, for me this embodies the fact that even though we're still bickering about people problem's the Earth and environment still needs to protected, the changes happening we still need to prepare for and adjust to, because it's only so long before the beauty of nature is gone too. Smell the coffee.
