String Machine MkII

Degung is a set of three acousmatic miniatures that collectively explore the musical and spiritual characteristics of the gamelan (specifically the University of Manchester’s Sudanese Degung). In Indonesian traditional thinking the gamelan is sacred and is believed to have supernatural power. Degung follows the gamelan on its journey from its natural form and sound to the completely transformed and supernatural.

6 demo tracks using patches from my "Kraft Tribute" sound pack available via Arturia's new Sound Store. All sequence, drum, and sound FX parts are done on the Modular V. Most of the lead, bass, string and pad sounds are done on the Prophet V, with the exception of Autobahn, which (save the "KlangPiano" sound) is all Modular V, and features its soft clip/overdrive setting that emulates the Minimoog's overdrive characteristics quite well.

Kraftwerk Demos for Arturia "Kraft Tribute" sound pack

'Embraced and Reassured' is a compilation of field recordings and sound collages. It offers 10 unique sound documents by recordists from around the globe. Recordings of frogs in Eastern Europe sit alongside conversations about riots in a small town in Southern Chile; the sound of a kettle boiling in a home follows recordings of wind making charango strings vibrate in Morocco.

The full compilation will be released on Bandcamp on May 1, 2020. All proceeds from this compilation will be donated to Hackney Foodbank, an organisation helping local people in crisis.

An early version of my 2nd part to my Moog Modular Acid series. Part 1 was on my Switch-Flicker iwari CD album 2006. I passed my Moog Voyager through my Clavia Nord Modular and controlled modulations through my sequencer and live play. I've been working on this since about 2006... The final version was released on the "Touched Two" Release Nov 2015 and can be downloaded through Bandcamp.

I'm a long time fan of the modular synthesizer environment Reaktor by Native Instruments and a builder of analog sounding Reaktor synthesizers. I'm also part of the Stereoklang Produktion network performing mainly mixing and mastering.
