500 followers, holy shit. Honestly never really thought I'd get that much. Don't know how it happened, exactly, but at the end of the day? I'm genuinely grateful! I'm glad that that many people are entertained by my work, and I'd hope to continue expanding that audience as I keep on honing my craft. I'm glad you're all here.

As for the song itself! It's a cover of @airenn171's take on a Gaster boss theme, which in turn is based heavily on Toby Fox's old "Dream Devourer" fan-song he made for Chrono Trigger. Given that it's both badass and a bit heartfelt, I figured it'd make a good song for the occasion. Plus, I've just been dying to make a Gaster fight theme for a while now, haha.

Thank you all so much for staying with me this long. It means a lot to me. Here's to 1000, eh?

i like to think that sans would use his magic eye here to change gravity during attacks, but wouldnt throw you around the field. i also dont think hed use gaster blasters here since those are huge and scary and this guys just wants to have a good time. progress on the distasteful ost is going great and itll definitely continue to be uploaded in sequence every few days with no interruptions or intermissions of any kind :DD.

papyrus always struck me as a megalo strike back kinda' guy. as opposed to a megalovania guy. for my take, megalovania and msb swap, so this is the final genocide theme. getting this to actually sound like msb was a lot harder than i thought itd be, but im happy with where it landed. msb is cool and should be used for more things :0.

this technically takes the place of msb, in the sense that it wouldnt actually play in-universe ever, and its only part of the soundtrack to be referenced by phase 2. the intro is kind of a combination of the msb intro and the eb/hs megalovania intros. i used secret of mana instruments just because i like them, i think theyre cool :O.

the final phase is here!! sans is pulling out all the blue stops!! ive always had this idea of making a weird somewhat jazzier version of final chance and i dont know why. "for old times' sake" (my self-insert final chance) kinda' started that by having that extra section near the end, but this song here is pretty much how i pictured it being. the mixing took like twice as long as skulltimatum, but the idea itself was so clear to me that i pretty much had all the notes laid out in a day, so i guess the effort was just loaded differently here. but thats enough technical rambling!! this isnt the end for distasteful, not just yet!! there are at least 2 more songs left under the distasteful name, so i hope you enjoy and look forward to those!! :D.

also the dialogue here was inspired by dialogue someone commented on a previous song. you know who you are. thanks for that :>.

the human was able to tactfully navigate their way thru dialogue options and ended up slipping to sans that they have the power to reset. sans, the cunning skeleton he is, decides to strike a deal of sorts with them. by offering them nary but a password and the hopes of a secret, he manages to tap into the sole (or perhaps, "soul") drive of the human: the desire to see what happens if.

i imagine if distasteful were a game, youd have the option to either spare or kill sans at this point. if hes spared, you get to do the password thing upon your next reset. if you kill him and then reset, hed say something like "well that is my password, but i never told you the password so i cant accept it, sorry!", making the whole ordeal useless because you thought you could have your cake and eat it too.
