This piece recounts the fight for liberation of Carpatho-Ukraine in 1938, where Carpathian riflemen distinguished themselves and fought valiantly. In the final verse, the Black Sea receives the fallen heroes as the bodies of the freedom fighters spill out of the Danube into the Ukrainian sea.
