Over all these years, going through the motions in busy streets, courts and ballrooms, marching along with the parade, one will see an endless gallery of facades, masks, faux costumes, and contrived personas. Only a sensitive hand can tear down this adhered wallpaper of imitation. Standing under this gleaming sunrise is not an act of defiance, anger, or detachment; it is invitation, albeit a futile one, to see what lies beneath.

Copenhagen-based visual and musical artist øjeRum presents 'Lav Sol', an album of symbolistic landscapes seen through intuition. In his music, Paw Grabowski effortlessly combines traditional, classical themes and motives into contemporary poetic forms. The three long-take recordings of Lav Sol inspire to look for the truth under the surface.

It’s December, and the world seems to hit that particular state of neutral gear, where everything seems to be slowly rolling down that hill until, eventually, it will come to a slow crawl somewhere near the end of the year before pressing the foot on the pedal again. Unfortunately, that is not the case with the state of affairs in the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Finally, even the press outlets and Wikipedia have officially started calling the Russo-Ukrainian war, starting back in February 2014 and a full-scale invasion on February 24th, 2022. If anything, the tensions are escalating. Switch over your channel from football to news, and you will get confronted with the reality of the situation. As the first anniversary of the invasion approaches, Kyiv-based composer and sound-artist Heinali announces the upcoming release of an album, Kyiv Eternal, scheduled for February 24th via Injazero Records. Today I am premiering for you the title track, “whose rich swell and powerful soaring chords rise with the sound of hope.” On the beautiful album cover, we see a monument to the 16th-century Ukrainian political, military and civic leader Petro Konashevych-Sahaidachny, which has been wrapped up to protect it from Russian air strikes. This music is a tribute to the city we both love (as I was, too, born in Kyiv and will always call it my home), to the city that refuses to fall in hopes that this horrible war will finally end.

Pauline Oliveros' Tara's Room has long been a favorite in the Imprec office and it's a great honor to be able to release it on LP for the very first time. Tara's Room was cut by John Golden and pressed at RTI in order to achieve a quiet, dynamic pressing. Originally released on cassette in 1987 following the 1986 release of "Sounding / Way" with Guy Klucevsek which is also available on LP via Imprec. 

This LP features two long sides of infinite depth and sensitivity. Oliveros performs these pieces using a Just Intonation accordion and her Expanded Instrument System in order to bend both time and pitch. 


Pauline Oliveros, composer, performer and humanitarian is an important pioneer in American Music. Acclaimed internationally, for four decades she has explored sound - forging new ground for herself and others. Through improvisation, electronic music, ritual, teaching and meditation she has created a body of work with such breadth of vision that it profoundly effects those who experience it, and eludes many who try to write about it. Oliveros has been honored with awards, grants and concerts internationally. Whether performing at the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., in an underground cavern, or in the studios of West German Radio, Oliveros' commitment to interaction with the moment is unchanged. She can make the sound of a sweeping siren into another instrument of the ensemble.

You, Only is a beguiling insight into the world of Turkish musician Ekin Üzeltüzenci and her debut release on Vaknar. 

The album features a series of musical tapestries which prominently include live instrumentation in tandem with Ekin’s own voice, all of which has been fed through a series of tape delays, giving the final outcome a brittle and reflective tone.

About Ekin Fil:

After a stint of initial tape only albums which included the aforementioned 'Heavy', Ekin Fil went on the produce 4 albums for the Helen Scarsdale Agency. She was awarded "Best Original Film Music" for her first Soundtrack "Kaygi" at SIYAD, 2017 and "Best Film Music" for the Soundtrack of "Korfez - The Gulf" at Türkisches Film Festival in Frankfurt, 2018.
This year she released an LP of separate songs titled KOMA on the Stockholm based imprint Possible Motive.
