i don't know what you did to process these field recordings, but it's amazing. anything that can offer itself as a gateway to insect consciousness is good with me.

this is a very similar patch as Untitled VI, except that now there are three voices instead of one: SMR, piston honda (which is also in the rosie efx loop from time to time, which is a bad habit/crutch that i lean on way too often) and e350. SMR is droning and fluttering into clouds, while the piston honda and e350 are both hitting an optomix before going into rings for some reverb. there is also a field recording churning in the background inside the disting, which i am randomly and manually controlling the playback speed on. 

i could listen to this for hours (and did)

BÉRANGÈRE MAXIMIN - Day 41

Hauteurs de Minca, sur les premiers contreforts de la Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta (massif isolé de la Cordillère des Andes sur la côte caribéenne, un des massifs côtiers les plus hauts du monde), je découvre le site en ruine d'une ancienne cafetera (fabrique artisanale de café). Alors que je visite les différents bâtiments en ruine, m'abritant des averses de pluies tropicales, un concert hypnotique de batraciens m'invite à déposer mes micros dans mes oreilles afin de mettre en partager ce concert inoubliable. Je reviendrai sur site le lendemain avec d'autres micros pour continuer à enregistrer la transe batracienne de ces Leptodactylus au plus prêt. J'en propose ici un mix entre allée et venue d'une prise binaurale à une prise de proximité.
