The Moment KLKTV consists of Alejandro Fournier and Michael Rittner. With their album „Be A Bridge“ last year, the duo appealed successfully to a large fan base. So we dared to take two pieces from the album and got them re-worked. The result is two remixes with very different approaches. Mathias Kaden, on the other hand, takes over the harmony, energy and tact from „Ser Puente“ in order to lose himself in it and finally surpass himself. Its quiet, melancholic warm deepness expresses the reflective mood in which the piece was written. Dapayk Solo gives the originally stomping “A Walking Miracle” an even straighter, more technoid note, whose disco-reminiscences can hardly be overheard. The track literally glitters in a sequined dress under the full moon and drives onto the dance floor at peak time. The name of the piece, as well as the whole album and EP, has become more and more of a program these days. Let‘s not give up, keep building bridges to bring people back together.

Chain Two is the second remix compilation on the label New Port Records. Together with artists such as Jan Ritter, Monova, Jan Fleck, Red Rooms, Copilco, Robin Decker and Raphael Hofman, we have generated something new again from already released tracks. We all share the same love for technoid, bass-heavy music. Everything is connected and has a meaning, even if this sense is often hidden, we know that we are close to our true mission when our actions are imbued with the energy, the driving tones, the oppressive bass and the enthusiasm. So we forged an interlocking chain of synthesizer, drums, pads, claps and leads to create something new, tangible. And so we would like to pass on the one to the other and to celebrate the sense of community and cohesion.

It's always nice to be able to present so-called local heroes on one of our labels. This shows that besides the great internationality, we still know where our base is and Amber Blue catalog number 048 is a great example of that. 

Herr Oppermann is such a local hero and plays all important events in Hamburg and Northern Germany and the contact was established early on through events, but now we are getting together on the label side and Herr Oppermann is making his debut in the Amber Family.

With "Never Ending" he delivers a very melancholic seeming production, which doesn't quite correspond to the current sound standard and therefore is very good and absolutely audible and playable. Melody, groove and a break that couldn't be more beautiful characterize his production and make it special and that in a very good sense.

Just like the two label returnees, who also belong to the local heroes and make this release almost a "Hamburg Special". With Birkenlauber and Fabs#, two well-known names are represented with remixes that perfectly reflect their current definition of their sound and thus are perfect additions to the original.

To say Stephan Zovsky's career started in 2019 would be wrong. It would omit any mention of the two decades of DJing he’s got under his belt already, with countless gigs all over the place. It would omit any mention of his 2010 album ‘The Village’, produced with long-year musical partner Sandro Schäufler. It would omit any mention of his first set as Green Lake Project in 2016. No, to say his career started in 2019 would be plain out wrong.

Yet 2019 is a milestone year in the life of this prolific creative from Mecklenburg Vorpommern, that rural North-Eastern corner of Germany. It's the year his ‘Connect EP’ is out on 3000Grad Records, the first of a perpetual string of releases. It's the year Stephan Zovsky starts his own label Sueslide, a launching pad for his growing musical output that finally meets his notoriously high quality standards towards himself. It's also the year ‘GLP’ drops - the debut album of Green Lake Project, his successful joint venture with Mollono.Bass.

His ever increasing skill level as a DJ and producer resonates intensely with the scene and its dancefloors: His tracks rank high in prestigious charts. His inbox is flooded with remix requests, some even from rather remote music scenes like Indie or Trance. He is invited to perform his Stephan Zovsky liveact at Fusion Festival's famous Turmbühne in 2021.

His diverse background and tireless productivity make it impossible to pin Stephan Zovsky down to a particular genre. Anyway, mentioning his name in one breath with the term ‘Melodic Techno’ doesn't make him frown; the terms ‘tool-like’, ‘DJ-oriented’ or ‘club-ready’ make him smile. You won't hear him playing obvious bawl-along hits, but neither will you hear him playing nerdy, overly intellectual tunes. His understated, functional style sits comfortably in the middle, making him the perfect prime time artist for those moments when it's all about no-frills, strictly-thrills dancefloor ecstasy.

Wenn wir ihn in einem Atemzug mit dem Begriff 'Melodic Techno' erwähnen, dann runzelt er zumindest nicht die Stirn; wenn wir Begriffe wie 'toolartig', 'DJ-tauglich' oder 'tanzflächenkompatibel’' verwenden, dann schmunzelt er. Vorhersehbare Mitgröhl-Hits gibt es von ihm ebenso wenig zu hören wie allzu verkopften Frickel-Sound. Mit seinen funktionalen und doch subtilen Sets passt er ideal in jene Art von Spitzenzeit, in der es ganz ohne Hype und Schnickschnack einfach nur gediegen zur Sache gehen soll.
