Gotham City est une mégapole gangrénée par la corruption et la délinquance. La nuit, l’héritier Bruce Wayne devient le batman, justicier masqué, déguisé en chauve-souris, qui combat la criminalité en parallèle de la police. Son adversaire se nomme cette fois le Riddler, serial killer, masqué lui aussi, et qui par ses crimes dénonce les liens étroits entre la pègre et la municipalité.

Critique cinéma par François Bégaudeau du 2ème long-métrage de Nicolas Pariser : "Alice et le maire". 

Le maire de Lyon, Paul Théraneau, va mal. Il n’a plus une seule idée. Après trente ans de vie politique, il se sent complètement vide. Pour remédier à ce problème, on décide de lui adjoindre une jeune et brillante professeur de lettres, Alice Heimann. Un dialogue se noue, qui rapproche Alice et le maire et ébranle leurs certitudes.
