There is a rising trend of self immolation in Tibet, in reaction to an increasingly oppressive Chinese government. But is self immolation non-violent? What does it mean for the future of Tibet's history of peaceful protest?

You think your landlord is bad? Sydney's boarders and lodgers live in unfair and sometimes dangerous and they have no legal recourse again their landlords. I went back to my old Sydney sharehouse to do some research on what our landlords can get away with. 

Sydney's real housing problem

Better to be tasered than shot, right? Well, not exactly. After another taser-death in Sydney, I did some research on how effective tasers actually are  - I even called up the New South Wales police department. Turns out, there's no evidence that tasers are replacing guns on our streets, nor that they make our streets safer. Meanwhile, more people are being tasered than ever before.
