A track I decided to make, pretty much as soon as I heard the original. I wanted to see where I could take it, and initially planned on releasing it simultaneously with the film. But then in 2020 it was delayed, and then delayed again, as was this creation. So here it is now.

My remix of Kill The Noise, Trent Monroe, JUST DUE & Spencer Ludwig's song Turn On The Lights. I was a huge fan of the vibe and vocals and just had to put my own spin on it when I saw there was a competition, even just for fun. It goes through a few phases, from airy to ethereal to gritty and heavy.

Something I've been working on for a while. Turned out pretty well and I quite like the sound of it. It's quite different from the original, and I'd imagine pretty different from any of the other remixes that came from this song.

Not actually though. This track stems from a colleague of mine who always gets approached for drugs at festivals, despite him never using or selling them in his life.  This turned into an inside joke, which turned into a chant on a bus one year. Someone took a video, I took that audio, and the result is this, "Tom Has Drugs".

Avicii - Fades Away (feat. Noonie Bao)(ZTKL Remix)

This is my remix for Seven Lion's song "Only Now", featuring vocals from Tyler Graves. When the competition came up for it, I was pretty excited, as I love the original. Full of energy, yet it maintains a beautiful aura about it, largely in part to Tyler's vocals, but and also because of the brilliant production. I wanted to take it in a slightly different direction, to make it more downtempo and relaxed (for the most part), while attempting to maintain what made it an amazing song to begin with. And that's where the "At Dawn" comes in. When writing and now listening to it, I picture a scene of the morning sun slowly coming up beyond the horizon, beginning to illuminate the world with reflective golden rays, with a light rain and the smell of dew on the grass. It makes sense, trust me.

I would like to thank Mason Tikl, also known as Striatum, for recording the 12 string guitar, which added the texture that section so, so needed.

Only Now - Seven Lions ft. Tyler Graves (ZTKL "At Dawn" Remix)

Coming at this, I instantly had an idea in mind. I wanted to make it a bit harder and a bit more aggressive than the original, which, took me in this direction. Overall I kept a similar vibe to the track, which is not something I normally do in a remix. Steven has always been an inspiration and an artist I look up to, so, I hope I did this one justice. Enjoy.

So here's my version of Zedd & Griff's "Inside Out". Noticed he was hosting a remix competition for it and a few seconds into listening I knew I just had to work with this vocal, and pretty much had the idea sketched out in my head before even sitting down and getting started. It's probably one of the quickest songs/remixes I've ever produced, which is ironic because it's also one of the better mixed and 'produced' ones I've ever made. hope you enjoy!
