שישה מליון רסיסים עוקב אחרי סיפורה של מאיה, בת לניצולי שואה בתל-אביב של שנות השישים. חייה של מאיה מתרחשים בצל השואה ובאופן ישיר בצלה של אמה החרדה והסובלת. באופן הדרגתי עוברות החוויות של האם אל תוך עולמה הפנימי של מאיה שהופך לסבוך ומסויט. מאיה מתקשה לתפקד בחיי היום-יום והולכת ונסגרת, עניין אותו מדגימה מערכת יחסיה עם בחור המחזר אחריה. לבסוף מנסה מאיה לחרוט מספרים על ידה, נתפסת כמי שניסתה להתאבד ומאושפזת במוסד לחולי נפש. בתחילה היא מסרבת לשתף פעולה ולחשוף את סיפורה. אך בהמשך משהיא מליטה לעזור לעצמה, בסיוע הצוות הטיפולי היא מצליחה להשתקם ולחזור לחיים נורמלים ומוצאת אהבה.

The film takes place in 1969 - is the story of Maya, the only child of concentration camp survivors . Maya works in a library and conducted her life between her job and her friends . Mainly due to the pressures of terror , the events of the Holocaust are at any time and anywhere , Maya begins to develop panic attacks accompanied by hallucinations related events such as the Holocaust : concentration camps etc. ..
At the same time , Maya woman selling and developing children love. At one point the father of Maya finds her carving scissors numbers on it. Maya hospitalized in - a psychiatric hospital where we discover that the guy comes often to visit his mother is a Holocaust survivor flagged in the memories. Created us from repeating them and love to dwell .
