Recognized at an early age singing a gospel tune by his parents, Rich "THERON" McMichael was blessed with a powerful, distinguished vocal ability. By grade school he was developing harmonies and finding inspiration through a range of artists including Donnie Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Micheal jackson, and Kim Burrell. He was featured in a musical at the Billie Holiday Theatre at the age of 13. Since then /theron has performed in many Off Broadway plays, and, As his voice and style developed, many talent showcases and open mic venues such as the Village Underground, The Soul Café, Crash Masion and Ashford and Simpson’s Sugar Bar and he is credited with winning his category at the McDonald’s Gospel Fest in 2003.

In the last few years monumental occasions have enveloped his career which include the performance for the Inauguration of President Barack Obama concert with Wynton Marsalis and LeChateau in 2009, appearing on Season 4 of Making the Band and having R&B crooner star JOE state "That kid has a monster voice!" He has been collaborating with Mario Winans and others, appearing on and winning “Showtime at the Apollo Kids”.

Theron is one third of the new hottest production company "WilPenMusic" He is not only a singer in a time when anyone and virtually everyone says they are one, but an artist, who is honing his craft to combine songwriting and composing with an altogether unique blend of Alternative, R&B, Pop, and Rock sounds that consistently dazzles audiences.

Coming 2012 Theron will officially debut "Lights Go Off" with adds to radio.
