RATI-ს შემოქმედება რთულია მოაქციო რომელიმე ერთ კონკრეტულ ჟანრში. მუსიკის წერისას ან ტრეკების სელექციისას ცდილობს ჟანრებს მიღმა იაზროვნოს და მიყვეს შინაგან ხმას, რომელიც კარნახობს რითმს და მელოდიას. მას შეგვიძლია ვუწოდოთ მგრძნობიარე არტისტი, რომელიც ენდობა მსმენელს და არ ერიდება მასთან საკუთარი შინაგანი სამყაროს გაშიშვლების.
მის ბოლო დროინდელ მუსიკაში ხშირად იკითხება minimal tech house-ის რითმები.
ამჟამად მუშაობს და ქმნის მუსიკას MZESUMZIRA Records-ისთვის. მისი სადებიუტო ტრეკი - Cosmo EP-ში MZEM UMZIRA 23 დეკემბერს გამოვა.

RATI 2013 წლიდან დღემდე აქტიურად უკრავს თბილისის და არა მხოლოდ თბილისის სხვადასხვა კლუბებსა და ყველაზე პრესტიჟულ ფესტივალებზე. 2017 წელს კი უკვე ქვეყნის საზღვრებს გასცდა და ბერლინის ლეგენდარული კლუბებისთვის, The GoldenGate და Sisyphos-ისთვის დაუკრა.

ამ მოკლე დროში მან შეძლო გამხდარიყო საკმარისად ავტორიტეტული dj, რომ დაეკრა მუსიკალური ლეგენდების Acid Pauli-ს (ორჯერ) და Red Axes-ის გვერდით.

მუსიკასთან სულ პირველი მოგონება რატისთვის Queen-ს უკავშირდება, რომელსაც მან 4 წლის ასაკში მოუსმინა და ახლაც ახსოვს მძაფრი შეგრძნება აღმოჩენის, რომ მუსიკას შეუძლია მისი ხასიათის შეცვლა. გამხიარულება ან დასევდიანება. ბავშვობიდან მოყოლებული მისი მუსიკალური გემოვნების „გამოკვებაზე“ უფროსი ძმა მუშაობდა. ის უზიარებდა მუსიკას, რომელიც უდიდეს გავლენას ახდენდა რატის აღქმაზე სამყაროს მიმართ. ეს იყო The Beatles, Velvet Underground და სხვა. 
2002 წელს მოისმინა Radiohead-ის შემოქმედება, რომელმაც მთლიანად მოიცვა მისი გრძნობები. ეს იყო ყველაზე ძლიერი კავშირი მუსიკასთან, რაც იქამდე განუცდია. პარალელურად უსმენდა Sigur Ros-ს, Depech Mode-ს და King of Convenience-ს. ამის შემდეგ კი, აღმოაჩინა ჟანრი Trip Hop და დაიწყო Portishead-ის და Massive Attack-ის სმენა.

2013 წელს 4GB ფესტივალზე მოისმინა Michael Mayer-ის სეტი, მაშინ პირველად აღიქვა ელექტრონული მუსიკა მთელი თავისი მასშტაბით და მიხვდა, რომ ეს იყო მუსიკა, რომელიც მის ყველაზე ღრმა გრძნობებს ეხებოდა. ამ აღმოჩენამ რატიში გააღვიძა სურვილი, თავადაც შეექმნა მუსიკა, რის შემდეგაც დაიწყო დიჯეინგის სწავლა და პირველი ნაბიჯების გადადგმა ამ სამყაროში. ელექტრონული მუსიკის კულტურის უკეთ გაცნობასთან ერთად, იცვლებოდა მისი გემოვნება და დამოკიდებულებები. ბევრი სხვადასხვა არტისტსის შემოქმედებამ შეძლო მასზე შთაბეჭდილების მოხდენა, მაგრამ ამ აღმოჩენებით სავსე გზაზე უმნიშვნელოვანესი გარდატეხა Acid Pauli-ს შემოქმედების გაცნობამ მოახდინა, რომელმაც დაუმსხვრია საკუთარი თავისთვის დადგენილი ჩარჩოები და სტერეოტიპები და მისცა ბიძგი გათავისუფლებულიყო და უშიშრად ეძება საკუთარი ხმა მუსიკაში.

It would be hard to squeeze RATI's musical legacy in one particular genre. While writing music or selecting tracks, he thinks beyond genres and follows inner voice that dictates rhythm and melody. He can be called a sensitive artist who trusts the audience and does not shy away from showing his inner world.
In his latest music minimal tech house rhythms are often heard.
Currently working and creating music for MZESUMZIRA Records. His debut track - Mzem UMZIRA will be released on December 23 at Cosmo EP.
Since 2013 RATI has been actively playing in various clubs and most prestigious festivals in Tbilisi and not only. In 2017 he went beyond the boarders of the country and played for the legendary clubs of Berlin, The GoldenGate and Sisyphos. 
In this short time period he was able to establish himself as a wanted Dj and to play along with the legends of electronic music, such as Acid Pauli (twice) and Red Axes.

გიო შენგელია 34 წლის, ქალაქი თბილისი.
გაიზარდა სამოქალაქო ომის შუაგულში, რომელიც დამოუკიდებლობის მოპოვებას ისახავდა მიზნად. გიომ და მისმა თანამოაზრეებმა გადაწყვიტეს იმედგაცრუება და გაურკვევლობა თავიანთი სამშობლოს მომავლისადმი მუსიკით გამოეხატათ.
 შენგელიას მუსიკალური კარიერა 2000 წლიდან იწყება. აღსანიშნავია რომ ის მუსიკას ეკონომიკური და პოლიტიკური არამდგრადობის პირობებში  მაშინ ქმნიდა, როდესაც ელექტონული მუსიკის მიწოდება შეზღუდულად ხდებოდა. დაუკრავს თითქმის ყველა ქართულ კლუბში, 2005 წლიდან კი საზღვრებს გარეთაც.
3 წლის განმავლობაში ჰქონდა საკუთარი რადიო გადაცემაც სახელად „ელექტრონიკა“. ქაოტური პოსტ საბჭოთა ყოფა მკვეთრად აისახა გიოს შემოქმედებაზე, ვაულტინგიდან ზიგზაგებამდე და შემდეგ ტექნომდე. შენგელიამ ახალი ელეგანტური ჟღერადობა წარმოუდგინა მცირედ ქართულ და უფრო ფართე ევროპულ საზოგადოებას.
 ის თავისი უნიკალური ჟღერადობით აღმოსავლეთ ევროპის ერთ-ერთ საუკეთესო დიჯეიდ ითვლება. ინდივიდუალიზმი დაკვრის დროს, არანაირი მუსიკალური ჩარჩოები და მეტი რისკი ეს ყველაფერი შენგელიას ეხმარება შექმნას მუსიკა, მუსიკა რომელიც უკვე წლებია არ კარგავს ხარისხს. 


Gio Shengelia was Born in the capital of the Republic of Georgia, Tbilisi. Grew up in the midst of a Civil War aimed at independence, which would ultimately lead to the triumphant secession from the Soviet Union in April 1991.
Gio and his young cohorts chose to express their frustration and uncertainty at their homeland’s future through music, and despite all of the odds - Making electronic music in times of Political and Economical uncertainty, where electricity was scarce, points at Shengelia’s dedication to his craft. Georgia’s veteran DJ has single handedly established himself as a dominant force within the Tbilisi’s electronic music scene. 
 
This Turbulent post-soviet experience influenced Gio’s music heavily. His music zigzags from Vaulting house to techno. Gio introduced a new, elegantly polished sound of minimal Georgian and eventually a larger Eastern European audience. His vision and success helped shape the country’s club culture as one of the world’s most extreme and rapidly rising in the world.
 
Since making his away across the Atlantic to the cultural powerhouse of New York City, Gio has been bringing his unique flavor to the city’s burgeoning electro scene, and he is regarded as one of the top DJs to come out of Eastern Europe.
