Park bench

Olivier Gobelet is a french DJ/musician based in Leipzig, Germany. Among other projects he is member of the DJ collective The Magical Flying Love Lab and of the experimental electronic combo Poplar Bluff.
Times dreamy and melancholic, times dark and explosive, his sets are a constant surprise, unmarked trips through space and time that deliver a weird vision of music history where caribbean oldies can meet experimental techno and codein hip-hop mingles with tribal psychedelia.

El Búho aka Robin Perkins was born in the rolling hills of northern England but found his musical home in the forests of Latin America. His music blends together the rhythms, mythologies and melodies of his adopted continent with the sound of waterfalls, birdsongs, crackling leaves and a modern electronic aesthetic. The result is a dreamy, deep, melodic journey that entrances as much through headphones as it does on the dancefloor.

He has released music on Wonderwheel Recordings, ZZK Records and Antartek and collaborated with producers and musicians like Luzmila Carpio, Lucas Santanna, Chancha Via Circuito, Mercedes Nasta, Lagartijeando, Matanza and Barrio Lindo

He also co-runs global artists collective Shika Shika and coodinated the non-profit album “A Guide to the Birdsong of South America”. Currently based in Paris, France he has played or lived in Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Seoul, Amsterdam, Glasgow and more.

Shika Shika is a global collective without owners for music without borders. Founded by UK producer El Búho (Robin Perkins) and Argentine producer https://soundcloud.com/barriolindo  (Agustín Rivaldo), the collective set out to discover and share with the world the music that blends traditions with modernity, folk with electronic and organic sounds with digital productions.

With its compilations, EPs and series like the Botanas singles series or Expediciones, an EP that brings two producers together to collaborate, Shika Shika has released music by artists including Chancha Via Circuito (as Universildo), UJI, Barrio Lindo, History of Colour, Matanza / Oceanvs Orientalis, JAJA, Nicola Cruz amongst others.
