Hello and welcome back to the Depth Perception Sessions.

This week we welcome Barcelona resident Pedro Capelossi to bring us his unique brand of forward thinking, genre blurring house, tech house and dub for Episode #128.

Bio:

With a producer career that spans almost a decade, Pedro Capelossi has quickly emerged from Spain's avant-garde electronic music landscape.

Born in Brazil, naturalized in Spain, and currently based in Barcelona - Pedro has forged a distinctive sound which focuses on inventive use of atmosphere and rhythm, drawing the lines between global dance cultures without adhering to any fixed formula.

In 2023 he founded his own musical imprint REFRACTION RECORDS, representing some of the world’s most avant-garde visual artists, designers and musicians. Blurring the boundaries between house, techno and its closely related derivatives, REFRACTION operates with an inherent understanding of the principles set out by electronic music’s greatest innovators.

Pablo Bolivar's Seven Villas has been a primary vehicle for Pedro's far-reaching work, with additional projects via Nick Warren's The Soundgarden, Madloch’s Sound Avenue among other specialized labels such as ARTS, Hoomidas Records, TOR (When We Dip) and Loot Recordings highlighting his resume.

Over the years Pedro's tracks have counted on support from recognizable names such as Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Andrey Pushkarev, Eelke Kleijn, Pablo Bolívar, Armen Miran, Matt Darrey and Airwave just to name a few.

DJing for over a decade now, in his hometown Barcelona Pedro played in some of the best parties and clubs such as PACHA, NOM Barcelona, Cafe Del Mar, City Hall, Macarena, Valhalla etc. alongside names such as Sebastien Leger, Eelke Kleijn, Cid Inc, Fur Coat and many more.

On his home turf of São Paulo he was responsible for important nightlife projects such as UNIK ID, hosting artists like Nick Warren and Cid Inc, as well as the PROGRESSION nights held at one of the most important clubs in Brazil - D.EDGE, supporting world-renowned guest artists all year round.

Pedro's DJ performances focus on underground electronic music, especially dub house and dub techno, deep house, minimal and downtempo. His versatility to move between different styles depending on audience and event, allows him to perform club gigs same as festivals.

#Definition
The Mole-Made Wormhole (MMW) is a purported, as yet undetected physical phenomenon that differs fundamentally from the colloquial understanding referring to the subterranean tunnel systems created by moles. Instead, the MMW is proposed as a mechanism for non-material transmission.

#Discovery
According to anecdotal reports, the concept was first introduced to Phonout through a dream vision in which Dr. Emil Fischer appeared utilizing a Mole-Made Wormhole to transfer his astral presence across space and time.

#Mechanism 
The MMW is theorized to operate on presently unknown quantum-mechanical principles, facilitating the transmission not of physical matter but solely of mental or conscious presence.

#Characteristics
Nature of transmission: exclusivement mental or conscious content
Structural properties: characterized by multiple exit points (typically two or more)
Signal behavior: simultaneous real-time replication of the input signal across all endpoints
Manifestation: transmissions occur on a metaphysical plane, frequently experienced within the dreams of others

#Localization
The entry points corresponding to the MMW coincide with common molehills, a factor which likely contributed to the prolonged failure to recognize this phenomenon. 

#Distinction from Cosmological Wormholes
Unlike cosmological wormholes hypothesized in physics, which allow for the transport of matter or conventional information, the MMW is restricted to the transfer of non-material, mental or astral phenomena exclusively.

Being filled (and fuelled) with inspiration and enthused about the possibilities of computer-based music production, Markus started his project in the middle of the 2000s. 
He developed a knack for making use of a wide spectrum of stylistic devices, embracing not only house and techno but also chill-out up to breakbeat. Hence his sound defies being narrowly pigeonholed. 
Zweig productions are characterized by a very warm and harmonic sound. 
He loves to mix vintage stylistics with fresh own ideas.
