Was ein wunderbar mystischer Morgen in diesem theatralisch roten Salon. Es war uns eine Ehre, sowohl den Mystic Creatures Abschied als auch das Wiedersehen im ehemaligen Mensch Meier - jetzt Abstrakt - bespielen zu dürfen.
 
Wir danken all den tanzenden und unseren lieben Mystics für eure Energie und euer Vertrauen auf dieser musikalischen Reise. Das gilt nichtzuletzt für euer Feedback, was uns wirklich viel bedeutet. 
Vom ersten bis zum letzten Takt haben wir die Zeit mit euch mehr als genossen und schwelgen in Erinnerungen. Um diese festzuhalten sowie die Stimmung in euren Alltag transportieren zu können, findet ihr nun das Set online.

What a wonderfully mystical morning in this theatrical red salon. It was an honor to play both the Mystic Creatures farewell and the reunion at the former Mensch Meier - now Abstrakt.

We thank all the dancers and our dear Mystics for your energy and trust on this musical journey. Last but not least, for your feedback, which really means a lot to us.
From the first to the last bar, we have more than enjoyed our time with you and are reminiscing. You can now find the set online to capture these memories and transport the mood into your everyday life.

Ein Morgen im roten Salon || Mystic Creatures - Abstrakt Opening

Visiting Hamburg is always a special thing for me. Gängeviertel, hanseatische Materialverwaltung, the people of Karl Kutter and: @suedpol-hamburg, the crazy bunch thats also behind Tanzwüste at Fusion. 

A lot of my understanding of rave and community goes back to these places. Man - I was even there, when G20 turned everything upside down. 

Thats why I'm always thankful and relieved, when I get back there and these little islands of resistance still exist and fight back. Though it's getting harder by the day.

Now a dream came true and I was asked to play at the notourish Südpol. Saturday to Sunday night, Oben from 04-07 in the morning. Together with @urem, @Lisbird & @hovrmusic and many other friends we packed our stuff and got on our way. 

I'm super happy to share with you the experience of this 3h Expedition! Thanks to the very zornige Crowd which stayed till the bitter end and gave all they got! And thanks @baskind who played a crazy closing set after me!

Zweisamt: Unveiling the Duo's Velvet Sound

Berlin-based DJ duo Zweisamt, composed of Caroline and Julian, embodies the essence of musical togetherness. The name "Zweisamt" is a fusion of the German words for togetherness and velvet, reflecting the couple's shared passion for music. Whether on the dancefloor or behind the decks, Caroline and Julian create a velvety sound that is organic, bouncy, bassy, soft, muffled, dreamy, and self-confident.

Their unique sound finds its home in the wood-paneled clubs of Berlin, such as the iconic Mensch Meier and Kater Blau, venues renowned for their melodic, buzzing, and vibrating energy that seamlessly connects people and music. As members of the Berlin-based artist collective Mystic Creatures, Zweisamt thrives on guiding early morning dancers through an eclectic journey, transitioning from strong, warm basslines to introspective, melancholic melodies, culminating in a joyous finale.

The genesis of their latest set was unplanned and spontaneous, crafted in a serendipitous flow—one during after-work hours and the other in COVID isolation. The resulting synergy surprised both Caroline and Julian, surpassing their expectations and perfectly encapsulating the essence of their Journey Series.

Dieses Mal für die Partyreihe Trips und Ticks von Doob und Janoma, was uns nach jahrelanger musikalischer Liebelei eine sehr große Freude war 🙏🏼🥰 In diesem Sinne danke für die Einladung sowie die hammer Energie aller Tanzenden und viel Spaß beim nachklingen ❤️🦦

On 2.8. we were once again invited to play "Hinter den Alpen" aka above the rooftops of Berlin at Klunkerkranich. This time for the party series Trips and Ticks by Doob and Janoma, which was a great pleasure for us after years of musical friendship 🙏🏼🥰 With this in mind, thank you for the invitation and the awesome energy of everyone dancing and have fun with the afterglow ❤️🦦

Das war intensiv, in jeglicher Hinsicht. 
Genau wie letztes Jahr ist die Zeit auf der Insel geradezu verflogen. 

Geballte Schönheit der Natur gepaart mit Kunst und Detailliebe. Mehr kann man sich nicht von einem Festival erträumen. Kombiniert mit dem letzten Sommerwochenende, den entsprechenden Temperaturen und tollen Menschen kann das nur zu wenig Schlaf führen ;) 

Wir sind stolz auf die Menschen dahinter. In so kurzer Zeit solch eine Professionalität hervorzubringen, ist wirklich beachtlich. Was da wohl noch kommt ... 

Es war uns ein wahres Privileg, Teil davon sein zu dürfen und wir sind unendlich dankbar für euer Vertrauen in unsere Musik. Danke!
Schon im Vorfeld haben wir uns viele Gedanken gemacht, wie wir diesen Opening Slot am Samstag um 14 Uhr nutzen würden. Dabei hat auch die Wetterprognose eine entscheidende Rolle gespielt ;) Heiße Temperaturen, von Null das Ganze hochfahren, nicht übertreiben, aber gute Energie mitgeben ... So in etwa war unser Anspruch. Insofern senden wir nochmal ein großes Dankeschön an alle Tanzenden, die der Hitze trotzten. Wir haben die Energie und das Set trotz Schlafmangel sehr genossen. Dabei hat natürlich auch diese massive Anlage einen großen Teil beigesteuert. 

Großen Dank auch nochmal an JaMoll für die super angenehme Artist Care.

It was intense in every sense of the word. 
Just like last year, the time on the island just flew by. 

The concentrated beauty of nature paired with art and attention to detail. You couldn't dream of more from a festival. Combined with the last summer weekend, the corresponding temperatures and great people, this can only lead to little sleep ;) 

We are proud of the people behind it. To produce such professionalism in such a short time is truly remarkable. I wonder what's still to come ... 

It was a real privilege for us to be a part of this, and we are infinitely grateful for your trust in our music.

We gave a lot of thought beforehand to how we would use this opening slot on Saturday at 2pm. The weather forecast also played a decisive role in this ;) 
Hot temperatures, starting from zero, not overdoing it, but providing good energy ... That was more or less our aim. In this respect, we would like to send a big thank you to all the dancers who braved the heat. We really enjoyed the energy and the set despite the lack of sleep. Of course, the massive sound system also played a big part in this.  

Big thanks also to JaMoll for the super pleasant artist care.

Było intensywnie pod każdym względem. 
Podobnie jak w zeszłym roku, czas na wyspie po prostu zleciał. 

Skoncentrowane piękno natury połączone ze sztuką i dbałością o szczegóły. Więcej od festiwalu nie można było sobie wymarzyć. W połączeniu z ostatnim letnim weekendem, odpowiednimi temperaturami i wspaniałymi ludźmi, może to prowadzić tylko do małej ilości snu ;) 

Jesteśmy dumni z ludzi, którzy za tym stoją. Stworzenie takiego profesjonalizmu w tak krótkim czasie jest naprawdę niezwykłe. Zastanawiam się, co jeszcze przed nami... 

Bycie częścią tego projektu było dla nas prawdziwym przywilejem i jesteśmy niezmiernie wdzięczni za zaufanie, jakim obdarzyliście naszą muzykę.
Długo zastanawialiśmy się nad tym, jak wykorzystać ten slot w sobotę o drugiej po południu. Prognoza pogody również odegrała w tym decydującą rolę ;) Gorące temperatury, start od zera, bez przesady, ale z dobrą energią... Mniej więcej taki był nasz cel. W związku z tym chcielibyśmy bardzo podziękować wszystkim tancerzom, którzy stawili czoła upałowi. Naprawdę cieszyliśmy się energią i setem pomimo braku snu. Oczywiście ogromną rolę odegrało tu również potężne nagłośnienie.  

Jeszcze raz wielkie podziękowania dla JaMoll za super miłą opiekę nad artystami.

A huge thank you to all of you who came out and danced with me and spent those amazing 2 hours during my set. I had a moment where I looked up and realized that the floor was totally packed and I almost started to cry out of happiness to see how many people were moving to my music and enjoying themselves 🫠 🫶

I couldn't resist producing a special intro for this set because I was already hyped up for it long before this set ✨

Einen schöneren Sommerabschluss hätte ich mir nicht vorstellen können! Wenn die ganze Berliner Bubble + gern gesehene Anhänge sich auf Klassenfahrt auf eine wunderschöne Insel in Polen begeben, um ein Wochenende gebührend zu feiern, dann kann das ja nur extrem schön werden! Die Sonne hat nochmal alles gegeben, die Stimmung war mehr als ausgelassen und die Stages und Lichtkonzepte waren einfach ein Traum. Ja, schöner hätte es einfach nicht sein können. 
Ja, Mimimi & Blablabla - hier ist das Set vom diesjährigen Mystic Creatures Festival.

Corios | Mystic Creatures Festival 24 | abgecornert auf Creatures Island

It was early October and the witch’s forest was full of energy since the arrival of Ishola, the African wizard who is also Hekske’s fiancé. Ishola is a wandering wizard, which means he’s always travelling around on foot and only comes to visit the witch’s forest a couple of times per year. But during these rare occasions, the forest really comes to life, while the two lovebirds are having a very intense time together. This time, the wizard stayed for 8 days and 8 nights and during this time, the forest went through a spectacular autumn transformation, with the leaves of the trees changing from green into all kinds of shades of yellow, orange and brown. And simultaneously, countless different species of mushrooms popped up all over the forest, while squirrels were busy collecting nuts for the winter. On the 8th day, a gentle wind started to blow through the woods, making the leaves fall in droves. All the animals and birds stopped their activities to look in awe at this colorful spectacle. And when all leaves had fallen, it suddenly became very quiet in the forest. Ishola sensed it was time to move on. He kissed goodbye to his beloved little witch, and continued his journey around the world.
After this teary goodbye, Hekske slowly came back to her senses and rushed to the center of the forest, where Falke (the 10-year old witch apprentice) and Lalita (the Asian tree nymph) had been waiting for her. They were very excited and pointed at the little oak tree (which is only 3 feet high but is destined to become the future mother tree of the forest ecosystem). Then Hekske saw it too : the tiny tree was glowing up with a pulsating pink light, just like a heartbeat. This had never happened before. Hekske, Falke and Lalita spontaneously made a circle around the little tree, holding hands. They closed their eyes and felt the pulsating energy enter their body, giving a pleasantly warm feeling inside their chests. And when they opened their eyes, they were amazed to see that they were able to see each other’s heartbeat as a pulsating pink glow through the white fabric of their long dresses.
This was a moment of pure magic …

🌷 What are you proud of accomplishing in 2024/2025?
I am really proud of my first release on afterhour sounds, as producing is something i would never thought I'd learn (well im still learning) and playing new cities and festivals. But what makes me also proud is how I developed as a person through my journey so far. I have become more self conscious, brave and kind to others and I'm not scared of working on my issues that I still have.

🌷 What book are you currently reading and do you like it?
„The life impossible“ by Matt Haig, and yes I like it :)

🌷 What is your favourite procrastination activity?
Cleaning! I know, classic avoidance behavior — but I mean it! There’s something incredibly satisfying about making external order when the internal feels a bit tangled. Like: “Sure, I haven’t answered that email from three days ago, but hey — the stovetop is shining and my socks are finally paired.” It gives me the illusion of progress while I’m emotionally buffering.

During my expedition to the Südpol, I stumbled upon an old radio 📻. This is what it played…

I had the honor of playing at Südpol’s 11th birthday – my second time there, but the first time inside, on the floor, during a full, wild Südpol night.

This place means a lot to me: it was the first big club I ever partied in, ten years ago. Coming back now to play a 3-hour set felt like returning to where it all began.

Special thanks to @at_ric and @temple-tears for sharing a couple of their unreleased tracks with me.
