Fourteen billion years later, matter, energy and consciousness have organized themselves into this precious, unrepeatable, irrepressible, self-evident moment of potentiality. There's you, whatever electronic device you're using and encoded whispers of wonderful music traversing great distances and dancing in your ears. Yes, it's true; it has all come down to this. And the next fourteen billion years start right here, right now. Sequitur.

It's mechanical poetry. The first gear is connected to a motor and spinning at many RPMs. Through a series of reduction gears, the final gear will make one rotation every 2.3 trillion years, and is in fact embedded in concrete. For all intents and purposes, it is motionless even though clearly mechanically connected to a rapidly spinning motor.

How is that we find ourselves in this odd predicament, conceived onto a material plane, driving our conscious vehicle through a vastly small and specific construct? It is a position of immense privilege, in which we are capable of an extraordinary sort of magic that we mostly take for granted. We sense that beyond these particular circumstances there is more, leading higher, to who-knows-where, and that we are part of the unfolding of an unfathomable becoming.

But for now, you are a holder of being. The be-holder is you!
