From her earliest days, Monile was drawn to electronic music through her older brother; a House, 90’s dance and techno record collector. Her roots originate from a combination of classic music she used to express playing piano, 90’s hip hop, Soul with a touch of funk and disco. On her quest for growth, she is always exploring different genres.
Her music reflects a rhythmic compassion for deep grooves and enchanting bass lines all-encompassing a wide range of electronic music styles from old School acid and Ghetto house to Detroit techno and Electro..

With her broad musical background, her productions and dj-sets incorporate the deep and dub-influenced sound she loves, whilst retaining the driving funk of her musical past. Her love for music is an endless journey to share with the world. Here, we present a recent mix of hers from Sophie Festival in Spain. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

The Icelandic DJ and producer Thorgerdur plays warm personal sets. Pathagonia is an Italian duo featuring Noha and Alex Tea. Friends for a long time, it really shines through in their music. Typically made-for-the-dancefloor gems, the pair has put out a bunch of brilliant cuts over the years, most notably the epic Chi Ci Pensa. Incredibly, that one came out five years ago now, but they’ve lost none of their studio gusto in the intervening years, whether they’re producing on their own or in tandem with one another. As if to prove the point, their latest offering is an album, HOW LOW CAN YOU GO, released via the mighty Yoyaku. With all this in mind, we were chuffed to have the guys on for our landmark 200th mix. We have said it before many times and we will say it again, the strength of a club or club night is built on the quality of its residents. One such club that has gone from strength to strength is Italian juggernaut After Caposile and Maggio has been integral in their undoubted success. While it is almost impossible to mention Maggio and not mention After Caposile there is much more to this artist than just his residency. For a starter, the Italian dropped the shimmering “Discoline” EP back at the peak of summer there is little doubt that this would have done serious damage out in the Garden inside After Caposile. Then came the dreamy “Just Landed” which made up part of  “The Sound Of Garden Selection Vol I” and proved that this promising producer has a bright future.

Moving on to Maggio’s mix for our InSession series and its grooves from start until the end and no question. A sound crafted from hours spent playing to some of the most up for it crowds we have seen and we can see why there is so much energy on the After Caposile dancefloors. Bounding basslines, punchy percussion and a vibe that sits so perfectly with the Italian night spot. If you have been to After Caposile you will know how essential Maggio’s sets are. If you are yet to experience this venue, then we are sure that this set will make up your mind.
