Hey everyone, welcome to episode 33 of my monthly mix show, ZZGO Radio where I strive to bring you the best in deep, melodic and progressive house.  July has been heating up both literally and figuratively here in Texas with temperatures in the mid 100 degrees Fahrenheit (that's around 40 Celsius for most of the world).

However, heat will not hold me back as I'm excited to announce we'll be reprising our Flow stage at the just announced Cosmic Connection festival 2022 right outside of Austin.  Last year, Cosmic Connection was a ton of fun and was our first time running a stage at a festival.  Since then we've run stages at three other festivals, so it will be nice to be back and show off our current setup which has undergone a few upgrades since last year to say the least!

Other than that, I have my 50th birthday party coming up at the end of the month.  I have a warehouse rented and DJs booked, so we'll definitely be celebrating in style.

Welcome to ZZGO Radio, Episode 46!

Tomorrow is Halloween, so I hope you have your costume ready and a fun but safe evening planned!

The big news for me this month was opening for the German electronic duo TWO LANES at Antone's here in Austin, Texas, USA for a sold out show.  TWO LANES does some really nice indie electronica with a lovely blend of piano and electronic elements, so I played a super relaxed set to warm up the room.  Antone's is a legendary venue here in Austin known mostly for its decades-long support of blues music, but they support all kinds of live music and have one of the best sound systems in town and the staff took great care of me.  The crowd was more of a live music crowd than a DJ or club crowd, so it was super fun when they would cheer and clap between tracks in my set during the quieter transitions.  Anyway, it was a huge honor to support TWO LANES and play at Antone's, so I'll be remembering that set for years to come.

Music wise I this month I pushed a little more into organic house territory than usual, but I really enjoyed all the melodies and I'm sure you will too! Check out the track list below as always.

Welcome to ZZGO Radio, Episode 47!  I hope you are well and enjoying the change of seasons.

This weekend I'm super excited to play my first show in a new club in San Antonio called Maeve.  It's a little over an hour away, and they have been really bringing a fresh experience to the San Antonio nightlife scene with strong support for underground music in a really lovely space that's been a true labor of love, so congrats to Zach, Clint, and the rest of the Maeve team for bringing their dreams to life!  I'll be playing a ton of melodic and progressive music there as part of my Flow ATX project along with partner in crime DJ Seldonite, so if you're in the area I hope to see you there this Saturday night!

Makoom's Menagerie December 2023

Welcome to episode 48 of ZZGO Radio, my last mix in 2023!

Overall it's been an interesting year.  Highlights included DJing at Love Burn in Miami and Burning Flipside in Texas with my Burning Man camp Cosmic Creatures, opening as direct support for Two Lanes at the legendary Austin venue Antone's, starting a brand new residency with my Flow ATX project at a hot new club in San Antonio called Maeve, as well as a number of shows at Coconut Club and Neon Grotto here in Austin, Texas, USA.

I don't know all the places 2024 will take me, but I will be attending Burning Man with my camp and building a new projection mapped art piece for the event which will be exciting, but I've got a lot of work to do between now and September to make it all happen.  At any rate, I'll continue to deliver monthly episodes of ZZGO Radio with tons of melodic and progressive house, so keep listening in 2024!

Celestial Journey

Welcome to the January 2024 episode of ZZGO Radio!

Things have been super busy this year as I've been continuing my DJ residency at Maeve in San Antonio, along with another show at Neon Grotto here in Austin this month.  In a couple of weeks I'm running the stage and lasers at Tree Burn 2024 as a fundraiser for my Burning Man camp Cosmic Creatures.  We're raising money to build a large scale art piece designed by yours truly for our trip to Burning Man this year.  We've collected over 500 Christmas trees and we'll be burning them over many hours at a family friendly event we're staging with music, food, and an overnight campout in a beautiful wooded area a couple of hours out of town.  I'll be hosting our much anticipated 80s themed kimono party as I DJ off the top of a double decker bus, so that's going to be fun!  These events are always a lot of work, but we have a solid core group running the camp and we always have a great time despite the sweat and dirt.

Lately on the show I've been doing more organic vibes, but this month is a little darker but as smooth and melodic as always.  Let me know what you think in the comments.  Thanks for listening, and see you again next month!
