About:

When I was a kid, I never got the love/safety I felt I needed at home. Issues with my family, lack of stability, and overall just being misunderstood is how I remember a lot of my childhood.

As I grew up, I attempted to fill that hole I had in my heart. The feeling of being misunderstood, coupled with lack of identity, and a deep need to be loved and accepted led me to seek external validation.

As I matured, and my attention turned to women, I started developing toxic habits. I used women as “emotional therapy.” I lied, cheated, got cheated on. I was betrayed by those I considered close friends, and betrayed those who considered me someone they could trust. All the while i blamed everyone else, and started to develop a negative view of the world.

It wasn’t until 2018, that I actually took accountability for myself, my actions, my choices, and most of all, the love I was giving and receiving. I’m not perfect, and I will continue to make mistakes and grow from them. This song “Loving Yourself.” Is about these revelations on my personal journey.
