On the two year anniversary of my good friend Dan’s passing, I recorded this mix in his memory. This week is always overridden with grief, but music is always there for me. So, naturally I turn to music to express all that I feel as I sit with his loss and continue to heal from it. This mix starts out with the last track that Dan and I ever spoke about. I had posted it to my story on Instagram, speaking of its beauty, and Dan replied, “sounds nice to me!”

In Memory of DJ Spira: II

I paint sounds with emotion. I've been a long time lover of electronic music, and my heart and soul lies in the wave forms of deep house. I picked up a pioneer controller in April of 2022 and gave it everything I had. Mixing music is the most healing and empowering thing I have discovered in life.
