I definitely want to do more, but that's for the next time I hit the booth.

The fourth song in the challenge. 
Empty corresponds to Depression.
This beat inspired me greatly. It's an absolute mess but in a good way. I love the tone and the final product.

The beat also gave room for an entirely different style for me. It's near spoken word but kinda not? I really enjoyed doing this one.

The challenge being to write about the 5 stages of grief in varying styles.
This is my attempt at a chill/lofi style in a melancholic tone.

This is also Denial. The first stage of Grief.

What's the point?
I ask myself every day.
Is it to selfishly live on,
through reproduction?
Or something greater?
There's gods watching over our every move..?
I wish it were simple,  finding the answers
But as time flies, you realize
 your own mortality.
Would you rather be lost in thought?
Or live in the here and now?

I wish I were more capable.
To make people happy?
To make an impact on humanity?
I wish to change the status quo.
But how?

Life is unfair,
Gears turning,
sand falling,
Time runs out, inevitably.

A darkness building inside, and out.
You choose what to see in the world, and what to make out of it. But that doesn't change the reality of it all.

I wish I were more informed from youth.
but what are regrets, if not just a lesson?

I'm scared for us all.
I have so much love but I never seem to be able to get it out.
And I feel people have a tendency to lash out.
In ignorance, in disgust, in hatred.

Hatred.
I've learned it can be a great tool for productivity when redirected.
But if you can't control your soul...
It can be self destructive or worse
To your mind your health
To others.
Now it's to the point where I hear thoughts and prayers seem to come every other week.

I fear for us.
Please, find the love inside of you.
We can honestly fix everything
But our first step is realizing nothing will get done otherwise.
Yet we're at each others throats too often to see the realities of our actions.


Gods, help us.

Gods, change us.

It's only one vocal track with no distortion.
Getting my voice to be that fucked is odd.
This is a gutteral projection from my throat. 
 It was an experiment more than anything.. a weird one lmao.
Though I love the sound that came out.
