@hihatcologne, who co-founded @phonovisioncologne together with Arno, has been deejaying since 2016 and is almost one of the scene veterans in Cologne despite his young age. HiHat only plays records and aims to always be musically one step ahead of the scene. With his unmistakable sense for trends and quality, he keeps discovering genres or tracks from the 90s and early 2000s that have been forgotten or previously underestimated. The typical HiHat sound emerges from his creative, high-class mixing skills, and is clearly designed for the world's dance floors: captivating, energetic and in constant development. No matter whether fast or slow, 4/4 or breakbeat - his presence at the DJ booth and his diverse style draw in every crowd and create an unforgettable rave. You can feel in every moment: HiHat loves what he does and gives his best for the music, his audience and an outstanding atmosphere.

Hekato is a DJ who has been on the scene since 2019. As a co-founder of the collective and the rapidly growing Całość label (@calosc), she has established herself as one of Poland's most recognizable talents. With a series of outstanding performances in the country, she has become a frequent guest in Berlin. She has visited such renowned venues as Anomalie, About Blank and the legendary Tresor.

Hekato has been involved in music and art since childhood. She learned folk singing and dancing as a child, and was also interested in painting. She is originally from Rybnik, but now lives in Wroclaw, where she is developing her musical career. Initially fascinated by deep techno, as time passed, she began to lean towards faster sounds, even weaving trance accents into her sets. Her performances are devoid of compromise, and she prioritizes quality and originality. Despite her strong onstage personality, Hekato is an introverted soul who expresses her emotions through music while taking listeners on a deep sonic journey.

Rethe is a DJ, producer and live performer from Wrocław, specializing in groovy and textured techno music. This young, though experienced artist is a frequent guest in the leading Polish clubs, he is also increasingly recognized on the international scene. Co-founder of Całość label and collective, he is also involved in the development of Wrocław's club scene, training many of the local DJs and producers, and balances work in the studio and live performances by conducting DJing and production classes, workshops and courses.

In his sets, he likes to be unpredictable, often combining extremely different genres and styles. He finds himself both in soothing, ambient sounds, melodic house music and rushing techno. In his productions, he combines space and lightness with a powerful sound, tailored to the club sound system, often weaving in live drums and self-recorded samples. His work was released, among others, in Berlin-based ARTS, as well as in many Polish labels.

For episode 38 we have, Shetland-Born, Malmö-Based ‘Bolam' has become a notable name in the Swedish dance music circuit over the last few years. Not only from his inimitable productions on labels like Slump Recordings, On Rotation, Holding Hands and Space Dust, but also as one of the founding members of local devoted bass-music collective MELT who have continued to output electric events since their inception.

For his Malmö Techno Tales mix, Bolam has whipped up an hour of non-stop power with some sleek trance, raw hard house and mesmeric deep techno both new and old.

Interview with Bolam:

Q: What made you start DJing?
A: A lifelong love for dance music, it was always gonna happen.

Q: Describe your style in three words.
A: Cheeky, trippy & groovy.

Q: Your best set in 2023/2024?
A: Earlier this year I played a b2b with my little brother in my hometown of Scalloway in the Shetland Islands. It was very special.

Q: Your favorite track right now?
A: Thats a tough one. I’m listening to a lot of stuff at the moment, but one track that I keep coming back to is “Los Hermanos - Central Nervous System”

Q: A track you never get tired of?
A: One of my most played tracks in my DJ sets for years is ‘Cari Lekebusch - Psyphonic’. It’s so mixable and never fails.

Q: Where can one find the best falafel in Malmö?
A: Representing my local - Clemens Falafel Malmö.

Q: A Malmö DJ you want to highlight?
A: I want to shout out every one of my Malmö DJ friends because they’re all sick in their own ways. But my fellow MELT compadres Mod Sens & Ekaliff never fail to blow my mind with the stuff they play and produce. They’re both super talented with proper love for the music and the craft, and they’re incredibly good people as well. Two very inspiring individuals.
