Eve Schwarz and Cody Lobbestael’s paths crossed coincidentally due to common friends in the electronic realm and a similar sonic background and vision.
Spontaneously the idea of a collaboration emerged as both sides at that time felt a little stuck in their creative process yet inspired by the other one’s approach.
Supplied with VELDT’s live-recorded analogue drum loops, Eve started snipping and layering and giving four different sessions the shape of a track and a unique identity
balancing industrial power with club characteristics. The reference to the classical ballet terms in title and track IDs is the result of the quite unknown David Lynch
short film “Ballerina” running in the background during the studio works - which created, despite an obviously harsh contrast, still a deeply sensual harmony and autonomous
symbiosis as an audio-visual experience.

Patient (MT) - Need This

I was listening back to last months set at the MOT. When improvising with a modular synth set up, ideas can meander and flow back and forth and build into something that can be quite exciting and unexpected for the performer and the audience. Here's the last 10 minuets of my set where the ideas I had been wrestling with all seemed to come together. I felt I was getting closer to a sound i've been trying to bring to life for a while, it's not quite there but I think it comes across. Let me know what you think!?
