KoiFin & Kenji Araki - Remedy

New on Gone Baby, archival release of juvenilia album HAINT LIVES THERE from South Texas producer Andres B aka LINUS. Recorded in his mid to late teens between 2009 - 2013, these tracks are a worthy entry point into the producer's distinct southern sound. American folk and soul, eviscerated bass, and Episcopalian hymns and choirs are pulled and wound into mournful, disembodied grooves, the sound of a childhood dream (nightmare?), long forgotten, remembered one last time on your deathbed; the sound you might hear coming from an abandoned church (or nightclub) in a one horse town in the dead of night. Constructed on thrifted drum machines, a broken SP-202, and an MPC1000, I'm extremely proud to present these select few tracks from a huge archive of unreleased material from my lifelong friend, whose style and influence I carry with me in everything I touch, whose disinterest in optimization and promotion keeps his well pure and truly rural.

a soft touch follows footsteps placed lightly on a path lit in dim light. 

the snowy surface above the water is merely broken by weight.

the tangible dissolves before our hands with every lush stroke on reality through the eyes of a dream.

at core a light illuminates the uncertain, forging a sharp lense. we swim in the layers attracted by the light as we look at it through thin ice.
