What began as a loose idea to compile a few demos into a playlist and shine a light on some unsigned music has now become something much bigger as 1 More Thing activates its label module.  

All the interviews, podcasts, videos, playlists and news from the platform, but now with added musical dispatches, 1 More Tune Vol 1 sets the agenda: a bumper-packed special free download to set the scene and map the parameters. 

Every genre from hardcore to UKG via jungle, beats, dubstep, drum & bass and straight up unclassifiable can be found on this 40+1 track collection. 

Flavours from every corner of the world, all brought together by rave and breakbeat ingredients. Talented and uncompromising souls united from UK to US, NZ to NL via Ireland, Germany, Hungary, France, Armenia and Singapore. 
This is the sound of the future, this is the sound of 1 More Thing. 

I would like to thank every artist who’s contributed to this album and future volumes of 1 More Tune and trusted me with their music. I’ve been super inspired by the sheer amount of talent I’ve been exposed to through these demo submissions and my mission now is to amplify it to the world. We’re just warming up here.

3.0, the first track from this project, sets an impressive precedent for the future of the label. Arxiva combines a dirty and mesmerising bassline with filtered acid arpeggios to create a moody stepper which would perfectly match the energy in a dark club environment or in the depths of the night at a festival. Brazilian producer Dizrupt may be a new name to some but has been making waves in the dnb scene for several years now. In this short time has seen support from Noisia, Bryan G, Dj Andy and countless other big names with his self-released music and releases on Odio Records and Fraktal Sound.

The title track from this EP was featured on Noisia’s Vision radio in early 2021, and forms the basis of this varied and impressive debut release for Dispatch. It was written on his Epiphone SG, using analogue effects and distortion to make the guitar sound like a synthesiser. A unique, experimental track with bags of atmosphere and progressive depth.

Fusing organic sounds and field recordings with synthesised sounds throughout the EP, Dizrupt delivers an incredible mix of rolling energy with technical and experimental production techniques.

Black Barrel returns to Dispatch Recordings with a bang with the “Play EP”. Four varied and eclectic tracks packed with his distinctive production flavour. Easily recognisable by his vocal sampling style and quick edits with precision percussion, the Russian roller brings the funk every time.

The dub inspired “Whatah Bang” sees Black Barrel’s glitched out take on dubwise. The heavy hitting title track “Play” contrasts bright atmospherics with an infectious, growling bass. “Somebody Serious” matches serious bass modulation with a hard stepping drum line and “Burn Up” slowly builds and twists through rumble bass and spaced out breaks.
