At the start of 2022, this Belgian DJ decided to change up his musical career. Until then, Everest had been playing gigs as Whosten, playing pop music and EDM bangers, but feeling the love of the drum & bass scene, he felt it was time to choose himself.

With his debut album Breaking Barriers he wants to tell his story. It's a story about finding yourself, choosing your own path, and not caring about what other people think of you. Cost Of Living documents the brutal reality that the majority of us are just one pay cheque away from the breadline, no matter how well things feel like they're going. 

Life isn't easy right now. MIND reported last year that the full impact of the cost of living crisis on the nation’s mental health caused three in every 50 (6%) people in England and Wales saying they have considered ending their lives because of it. 

This is how challenging and exasperatingly costly life has become... especially for anyone who is underepresented or maligned by conservative ideologies, anyone under 30, anyone without the support of family network, anyone from working class and low income backgrounds. 

Anyone pretty much! Cost Of Living is for you. An anthem for the people! 

And it goes HARD too.

Glitchgirl speaks from a place of experience and has a lot to say. We'll be telling more of her story very soon and releasing another track of hers - an exceptional collaboration with Igubu called Avalanche - very very soon.
