One of the reasons why everything you hear on this channel is complete rubbish is because I write, play, record and produce all the stuff by myself in a small room somewhere in the the north of England.

Glass Harbours is an instrumental rock group based in Halifax, West Yorkshire. Pete plays drums, guitar, keys and engineers our recordings and designs the covers, James plays guitar and Rick plays guitar, bass and keys. 

Since their inception, Glass Harbours have released 3 EPs under their own steam, ’Glass Harbours’ (2014), ‘History Trails’ (2015) and ‘Mountain Side’ (2016). Their debut self-titled EP is a slice of lo-fi, frenetic instrumental Rock. ‘History Trails’ is a brooding, emotional homage to 1990s Post Rock. Finally, ‘Mountain Side’, sees Glass harbours explore a more indie-jazz influenced sound. These EPs are now available, remastered for cassette tape, on ‘Thursday Songs: Complete EPs 2014-2016’. This compilation also features an epic new track, ‘From the Wreckage of war we Look to the Stars’, named after the mighty Lovell Telescope.

Along the way we’ve been lucky enough to have been featured on some awesome radio shows and blogs, notably Tom Robinson’s 6 Music introducing mix tape (Punk Rock Icon) and Simon Raymonde on amazing radio (Tides).

Eleven bright musicians with unbelievable drive who trust in brass sound and bring their passion to everyone with their trombones, saxophones, trumpets, drums, percussion, and, of course, deep sousaphone. Music of MOSBRASS is inspired by various genres from jazz and latino to disco and jungle – all that creates a juicy cocktail of musical stories, emotions, and incredible energy that never leave very different listeners untouched. Mosbrass are composers and arrangers of all music they perform, they are sincere with what they do to make people happy, and dance to their music.
MOSBRASS is a Moscow brass band formed in Moscow, Russia in 2010 that became one of the first bands to establish modern brass band culture in Russia. In 2013, they even organized an International Moscow Brass Band Festival where during the whole day only brass bands from all over the world were playing until late at night. The 2013 and 2014 year festivals were featured with CQMD brass band (France), Les Chevals (France), Maharaja Brass Band (India-France), The Apples (Israel), and Kristijan Azirovich Brass (Serbia). At different times, MOSBRASS has been playing together with Emir Kusturica and his No Smoking Orchestra, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble and Les Lapins Superstars.
MOSBRASS are well known in most famous clubs of Moscow and Saint Petersburg and open-air festivals in Russia. The band is a permanent participant of the most popular Jazz Festival in Eastern Europe and CIS — Usadba Jazz, where a number of world famous artists such as Marcus Miller (USA), Avishai Cohen Trio (Israel), Branford Marsalis Quartet (USA), Charlie Hunter Trio (USA), The Brand New Heavies (UK), Yusef Lateef & Belmondo Quintet (USA-France), Nils Landgren (Sweden), Aaron Parks (USA), Jazzanova Live! (Gemany), Trilok Gurtu (India), Zap Mama (Belgium), Jimi Tenor (Finland), Lucky Peterson (USA), John Scofield (USA), Puppini Sisters (UK) etc. also performed. Besides that MOSBRASS often play for people on the streets, boulevards, and in parks during summertime to share the happiness and joy of their music with everyone.
On April 26, 2014, Mosbrass are presenting their debut album «MOSBRASS» and are ready to demonstrate their art and to continue performing for whole the world.
