Everyone’s favourite bangin’ Brisbane duo X CLUB. ready up four typically in your face cuts of driving, textured techno on 1Ø PILLS MATE that have us dreaming of giant warehouses and sweaty hugs. Channeling big rave energy from grime, electro and breaks - and ultimately using this influence to texture their heavy sound - the pair take inspiration from the 90’s rave movement and contemporary experimental artists.

‘Turning A Blind Eye To This Nonsense’ delivers on the escapism it promises, staying true to the driven aesthetic that the duo have become known for; sirens blaring, deep atmospherics and uncompromising rave. Fellow Australian Mutant Joe is enlisted on ‘Silo’ - an acid dipped techno-electro workout spawned from the depths of hell.

The record's biggest moments arrive on ‘Beta Rays’, where both the artist's interest in sound design and sonic engineering across their respective solo projects really shines across 8 minutes of cinematic rave. Managing to capture the nostalgic rave feeling that Bicep’s ‘Glue’ channelled to roaring success, X CLUB. serve up an emotionally-driven journey that is destined to dominate sound systems around the globe.

Their UK influence is felt most heavily on ‘300mpbs’ (½ of the duo, Benedict Clarke, is actually from Bristol); a gnarly cut of snarling drum & bass influenced breaks that is sure to incite a gun-finger trigger rush in the club.

Trailblazers Clouds & Tommy Holohan announce new ‘Hard Target’ moniker, label and debut release EP ‘Echoes’. Arriving on 27th October the project takes influence from early breakbeat-hardcore and 2000’s trance. Paying homage to their musical roots across the 4 tracks, ‘Echoes’ sees them continue their individual perseverance of pushing the boundaries of quality electronic music, now together as the Hard Target trio.

Title track ‘Echoes’ is a pure trance anthem. It unapologetically embraces the euphoric and hook-heavy sounds of classic trance, transporting listeners back to the heydays of Godskitchen, Gatecrasher, and Dave Pearce's iconic sets. ‘Idol Sound’ is a dark & moody techno track with early 2000’s tech-step and neuro drum & bass influences. A super groovy hardcore production ‘Roadblock (Rush Me)’ infuses distorted vocal hooks from early '90s London pirate radio adverts; a relentless journey through the vibrant history of hardcore rave culture. Sampling an old hardcore track, ‘Pluto (On a Trip II) progressively transforms into a techno masterpiece featuring everything from exhilarating breakdowns, a groovy core and a touch of analog warmth.

Backspin – the imprint launched by Regal as a love letter to early 2000s Hardgroove – welcomes techno titan Marco Bailey with the 'Drivetonik' EP: a powerful blend of past and present that pays homage to Hardgroove's golden era while keeping the focus firmly on today's dancefloors.

The EP opens with the title track 'Drivetonik', a brand-new production that sets the tone: raw, rolling and built to move bodies. A straight-up Hardgroove banger, it's Bailey at his most focused. All momentum, no compromise. What follows is a rare treat for longtime heads: three classic tracks, originally released on the legendary Primate Recordings, now freshly remastered for 2025. 'Hustler' brings the bounce with its infectious and instantly effective sound. 'Karma' leans into tribal rhythms and percussive layering, while 'Konverter' cuts through with synth stabs and vocal chops, offering a punchy, streamlined ride through early-2000s funk. To close things out, Swedish Hardgroove legend Hertz steps in to rework 'Konverter', injecting his signature style into a remix that's as crisp as it is driving, a perfect fusion of old-school grit and modern precision.
