Some say that Cuban music traveled in the trunks of sailors, from the Caribbean to the African coasts... others say that it was the students of socialist regimes who went to study in Cuba who popularized these rhythms which became emblematic of an era where anticolonialism and the struggles for independence spread across Africa. It was natural that these rhythms which had traveled in the halls of slave ships, had been enriched by contact with European mazurkas, American jazz and Spanish boleros, returned home, to mother earth. We celebrate them in this mix which shows the incredible richness of the Afro-Latino-Cuban repertoire: Senegalese psychedelic guajiras and cha-cha, Malian rumba, Burkinabé patchanga, Cameroonian boogaloo, Beninese son and Congolese salsa. First copied, then reinvented by brilliant musicians who incorporated local rhythms, they gain a great popularity in clubs, « maquis » and « bal poussière » in capitals and villages.

laser measurements of the annerly drain generated the axial modes, resonance frequencies and sum and difference tones. this in turn generated the intonation for the stringed instruments and oscilllators to be sympathetic with the drains natural resonances....
