I was originally planning on recording a 2 hour mix but I was having so much fun I decided to go for 3. Ciao Winter : Hello Spring is dedicated to the longer days, warmer weather, birds chirping, running water, and new life. As I shift from a challenging winter of covid to the new beginnings of spring, I look forward to gatherings, collaboration, creating, building, getting close, breathing, and dancing. Lots and lots of dancing. As I look back at winter, I give thanks for the growth that comes with challenge and the introspection that comes with deeper connections. It was a late Saturday morning on the traditional territory of the Huu-ay-aht First Nations. The previous day had been mostly rain, as is typical even in summer for the West Coast of Vancouver Island. There was excitement and energy in the air as Pachena Bay Music Festivalers flowed onto the beach. Bringing blankets & bubbles and looking to boogie, Andfriends warmed us all up with this set of Daytime Disco, R&B and Funk. Enjoy!
