Adam Michael Goldstein born in 1973 and known to the world as DJ AM was a prolific and innovative DJ and accomplished in such a short time what many DJs don't accomplish in a lifetime. Born in Philadelphia, he gained worldwide acclaim as a DJ and went on to work with big names such as Madonna, Jay-Z, Will Smith and more. His collaborations with former blink-182 drummer Travis Barker including performances and most recently mixtapes provided a glimpse of the energy and creativity DJ AM possessed and was just beginning to unleash on the world. Sadly, DJ AM was found dead on 5:20 p.m on Friday, August 28, 2009, leaving the world to wonder on what may have been.

In 2009, DJ AM and former Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker collaborated on two mixtapes. In Your Face Volume 1 and Volume 2 – Coachella 09. This is volume one.

NOTE: DJ AM and Travis Barker offered both mixes for download on their website if you only sent them one tweet. It was a creative and unique use of the Twitter service to promote their wares. The mix however was split into the 15 individual tracks that make it up. After extensively searching the Internet looking for a version of the complete mix, I was unsuccessful in finding one, so I cranked up the audio mixing software and proceeded to carefully and respectfully unite the tracks to present you the entire mix, unbroken, as intended by DJ AM. Purists might find this troubling but I assure you, the edits are clean and due to some audio engineering background and years behind the tables, as close to the original material as possible. That being said, I've named this the 12D Edit version to distinguish from any original versions that will undoubtedly pop up once I hit save on this upload. But that is life. Enjoy.
