ollowing the critically acclaimed release of their debut album Channels in March, London-based electronic duo Kassian deliver Channels: Remixed — a complete reimagination of eight tracks from the original record, revisited, deconstructed, and reassembled entirely by Warren Cummings and Joe Danvers-McCabe themselves. Out September 4th, 2025 on !K7 Records, this album presents a new lens on the tube warm, sample-based sound of Channels which among others caught the attention of the likes of Pitchfork and Mixmag and was selected for Dior’s Fall 2025 Show. Channels: Remixed dials for movement, momentum, and polyrhythmic exploration, reframing their most personal material to date with the energy of the club in mind.

Where Channels reflected Kassian’s 2019 origins as a duo with its texturised, warm sonics based on live instrumentation, field recordings and sampling, this new remix album repositions that material firmly in Kassian’s present sound world. It reconnects with the raw, barrier-breaking energy of their more recent body of work, where acid, bass, polyrhythm, breakbeat and techno drive the musical narrative. It’s a pivot from reflective storytelling to physical intensity.

Channels: Remixed transforms the album’s core ideas, placing them into a more kinetic space. Tracks are stripped down, warped, and rebuilt with a harder edge and meticulous sound design. Eight out of the original twelve tracks have been reinterpreted and designed for the club, exchanging some of the original album’s softness with skillfully crafted propulsive drums, searing basslines, chopped vocals and electro-heavy synth work.

On Spring (Club Mix) an optimistic-sounding core synth melody leads the way as groove and string elements unfold around it. Sun (Club Mix) erupts into a polyrhythmic percussion storm, while on Metro (Club Mix) chopped vocals float through the dense fabric of relentless, bouncing drums and roaring basslines. Sitting atop a steady, head-shaking breakbeat, an uncompromising, forceful bass rolls from low into high registers, beaming the listener into new spheres on Sunset Park (Club Mix). In a similar tint, Peech Blue (Club Mix) constantly plays with the liminal range between the dark and the light, flipping from the more psychedelic ends of bass music to warm, vocal-driven crests only to then drop back into the central oscillating subbass sitting underneath the 2-step beat. The energetic, forward-pushing groove on Joss Bay (Club Mix) feels like galloping along the coastline as waves hit the shore. Limoncello (Club Mix) and Mockingbirds (Club Mix) pull things back into the warmer, more playful hemisphere. Carefully interwoven pads paired with discreet synth arpeggios lay the ground for a calmer side of the remix album. Throughout their eight reinterpretations, Kassian rework not just the tracks, but the emotional framework, replacing quiet introspection with bold, body-moving statements for those healing moments on the dancefloor.

With Channels: Remixed, Kassian bridge past and present — distilling the emotional depth of their debut album into a sharper, more physical form, all while completing a conceptual loop: from early sketches developed over five years ago to a debut album that captured grief, transformation, and beauty — and now a full-body rework that points to Kassian’s continued evolution reminding listeners of their artistic versatility at the cutting edge of the UK’s electronic underground.

A quietly vital presence in Italy’s underground electronic scene, Nicola Penna — better known under a constellation of aliases including Future Jazz Ensemble, Nico Disco, and Nasty Boy — returns with a new chapter under his NBI moniker: Alphawaves, a four-track EP of introspective, deeply musical club material on Burnin Music.

Drawing on the dreamlike textures of early Italian deep house and the emotive pulse of Larry Heard’s productions, Alphawaves is an ode to mood and movement. Each track feels spiritually guided — a reflection of Penna’s rare craftsmanship as a multi-instrumentalist, and a welcome deviation from over-quantized electronic music.

These aren’t just club tracks; they are meditations in rhythm. Opening with lush pads, loose percussion, and warm basslines that recall the golden age of Italian Dream House, the EP also carries a timeless, soulful energy found in Penna’s previous work for labels like Sähkö, Native Tongue, and Ten Lovers Music. Despite a discography that spans over a decade and several underground classics, Penna remains something of a well-kept secret. Daniel Enache is a DJ and producer based in Bucharest, Romania, exploring the intersection of house, progressive, and Italo. His track “France 98” was released on Integration Recordings, the label run by acclaimed artist Jex Opolis, marking a key milestone that elevated his sound through the support of one of the genre’s most respected voices.
Daniel’s earlier track “Body,” released on New York’s Low End Directive, has gathered over 10,000 total streams and reflects his instinct for groove-driven productions. 

A steady presence behind the decks at Club Control in Bucharest for more than eight years, Daniel has also shared lineups with artists such as Marshall Jefferson, Rhode & Brown, Adryiano, Romare, Matthieu Faubourg, and the Imported Paris crew. Known for his sharp dance instinct and ability to read the room, his sets adapt fluidly to energy and context—always dialed into what the dancefloor needs.

Some words regarding “Whales EP”: 
I wanted to create a more personal EP that would still work well in a club setting. I was really happy when ODJO reached out, as I was looking for the right home for these tracks. For me, the EP is a journey through different moods—starting with the intriguing, clubby energy of “Whales,” moving into the trancey vibe of “Call Back,” and closing with “Harmonica,” which brings a sense of musical balance to the whole.

Emerging French artist Victor Tomasi, known for his electronic universe blending classic and modern house, unveils a new project: a three-track EP titled “Democracy EP”, available on all streaming platforms starting July 18.

With this EP, Victor Tomasi explores a highly rhythmic electronic aesthetic — a return to the roots of electronic music, infused with more traditional instrumentation. Each track invites the listener to surrender to hypnotic grooves and lush synth layers, while maintaining a distinct sonic identity.

Composed in Paris, Democracy EP draws inspiration from live concert musicianship to introduce new textures into club-oriented electronic music. All basslines were recorded on an electric bass guitar, while the acoustic drums were captured at Studio M in Montreuil. Since 2014, Kreggo has carved out a significant trajectory across electronic music, via both his signature productions and via the highly lauded Art-Aud imprint. His craft and vision are found throughout his productions, which weave elegantly from morphologic IDM and Acid numbers through to hypnotic, expressive Breaks, Bass and Techno. Stylistically, he allows the winds of change to flow through his music, with every release showcasing new motifs and ideals that align effortlessly with what came before. This continual building out of his sound has helped to craft a unique and progressively engaging musical universe, one that contains such intricacies and depth that it borders on the exquisite. His sound has seen him release on some of the most prominent labels going, including the likes of Furthur Electronix, Nottetempo, Nous’klaer Audio, and Clone, to name but a few. His helming of Art-Aud has overseen some extraordinary releases, which have often left trailblazing marks across the underground and are testament to his passion for building the imprint’s sound and identity.

‘Labi Inside’ comes with the drums and bass getting the pulses immediately racing. The groove skips and steps with glee, creating an immediately transfixing rhythm which the melodic features begin to wash over and occupy the in-between spaces. The track naturally evolves through time, with new percussive elements and emotive features worming their way into the mix. It's a groover that has such heart and soul intertwined deep within, and as the phases roll on and on, a sense of perpetuity kicks in as the track lingers long in the memory. ‘Obabi’ comes next, and like with the EP opener, this one unravels into life. A pulsating rhythmic undercurrent sets the stage for piercing, deep-set notes and hums, which interchange at will within a hypnotic melange. The mid-point breakdown allows the track to reset, before billowing back into life with its wondrous synergy intact.

Kreggo has always presented music that exudes warmth, ingenuity, and space for sonic evolution, and it's an approach that has served up some special moments within his production career. ‘Altro Mood’ is the latest incarnation of his sound, where rhythmic mazes interlock with enticing, deftly collected melodic features, with each track revamping and building upon one another. It's an auditory narrative that is as broad as it is concise, as bold as it is gentle, and as energised as it is meandering - and represents an experience that will linger long in the memory…..
