Ghosstek hails from Boyle Heights, CA. Immersed in music from a young age, thanks to his father’s side hustle as a mobile DJ & his work in music entertainment, Ghosstek’s early exposure to diverse genres laid the foundation for his passion & career. His musical journey began with formal piano training & self-taught skills on multiple instruments, eventually leading him to DJing & music production during his high school years.
Ghosstek’s sound is a dynamic blend of Tech House, Techno, Minimal Tech, & Latin Tech House, occasionally venturing into Bass House. Influenced by artists like Mozart, The Smiths, Gorillaz, Deadmau5, & Daft Punk, his eclectic taste informs his unique style.
Previously performing as Joshua Fields, he released seven EPs & played on KXLU FM and KLBP FM. As Ghosstek, he has performed at venues like Sharkeez Hermosa Beach, Pattern Bar LA, Legacy Nightclub, and Catch One, & released music under Wave Science Records.
What sets Ghosstek apart is his deep-rooted connection to the music scene and his ability to blend diverse genres & techniques into his work.
