On 04.03.21 at 2000cet @oddyxey premiered the second installment of Pavillion, a series of audio compositions that are spatially placed within a 60 minute field recording of a specific location or sonic landscape.

Pavillion (47.4940444, 11.1660155) captures the sound of music-esque hills on the border of Germany and Austria where I spent 5 days during summer 2020 in preparation of the group exhibition Wolpertinger at Heden Gallery Den Haag.

There is no live show today since Kbeach is broadcasting live from a big city event that is going on however Joe wanted to still put together a nice 60+ minute mix of some selects to hold you off until next week! Joe recorded this at the Soulection HQ and made sure to incorporate the energy that was flowing through the room that day. At last year’s Opening Party at Unsound Kraków, DJ E (aka Chuquimamani-Condori) showcased their distinct hyper-charged sound. Narrowing it down to genres is pretty impossible, but there are fragments of Andean folk, cumbia and country music ballads, often carefully layered with a bunch of soundboard-effects. The result is a classic DJ E set. Many of the tracks played here were recently included in the almost 2-hour long collection Edits, which you can pick up on Chuquimamani-Condori’s Bandcamp page.

the last time i recorded a drum & bass set it was on a cassette tape over 10 years ago. in 2012 i was finally able to return to my original love, dive into my old vinyl, and play some jungle: b2b with eats everything at bestival, b2b with totally enormous extinct dinosaurs at secret garden party, and as a guest of bachelors of science at their monthly at monarch in sf. for those of you who were not able to catch one of these rare pilgrimages back to my roots, i have recorded a special set just for you featuring a handful of my all time favorite records. happy new year and i hope you enjoy!
