Calgary's SwaggaCats (a.k.a. Matt Johnston) is not your average house cat.  As a DJ, VJ,  producer, and promoter, he covers a wide swath of creative audio/visual disciplines in his hometown of Calgary and beyond. 

He keeps his head down and his hands working, co/hosting YYC events Tekno Dog and Quiet Hours Silent Disco, creating and deploying visuals for Sub Chakra events, while somehow finding the time to release music with both local and US-based labels.  His most recent work is due to be released on Render Recordings in the very near future -- make sure to keep an eye on the socials for more details.

From the artist:

"I went through a bunch of stuff and picked anything that made me feel like I was underwater, then went back through that list and tried to emulate what it would be like to take a long bath. Sometimes, you set out trying to get relaxed but your brain runs wild and you start overanalyzing everything. Much like water, it ebbs and flows, and by the end of it, you’ve worked it all out and you’ve found your groove for the day."
