Vunzige Deuntjes Invites Wasserette SS (FunX Live Set)

Sur une production Kush McAnuff & Iyah One pour Shiloh Ites Records,  Indra nous interprète « Why O Why » pour débuter notre 569e  émission. Le deuxième des 4 disques de ce soir sortira chez Evidence Music en décembre prochain. « Kingston Journey », c’est l'évolution des champions du clash Little Lion Sound. Dans cet album on voyage du Reggae au Dancehall avec de grosses pointures. Pour preuve avec  Junior Dread et Brother Culture « The Control », King Kong et le titre « Morning », Micah Shemaiah et « Parler », Queen Omega et « No Love ». L’avant dernier disque de la soirée, c’est le dernier de chez Amoul-Bayi Records. La musique est signée Shakalaka, le mix Rootical 45. Sur ce disque sorti la semaine dernière, on retrouve Galas et Ijawal en discomix avec les lyrics « Gideon » et « War All Over » sur la face A. En B, Saah Karim avec le titre « Gangsters » , et une nouvelle fois Galas et « Gideon » mais sur une version Nyabinghi. Ce disque est à se procurer d’urgence. On termine avec un album made in Bordeaux et le retour de The Subvivors avec Extended, un LP de 4 titres avec leurs dubs à suivre.

One A Dem #569 - 26 novembre 2023

Petite pause la semaine dernière et donc de retour en force ce soir avec au programme : « Hold the Faith », un 45 tours des autrichiens DreadLionsMusic et Lisa Dainjah avec Sabolious au sax et Dubbing Sun au mix. Une série de trois 45 tours tout juste disponible sur Dub Junction avec « Under De Kitchen », célèbre titre des Nucleus Roots, et 2 remixes de Sasha Steppa et Stalawa. Le très attendu  « Best Foot Forward » de Dub Judah et Kibir La Amlak avec l’énorme Dubplate Anthem de Salomon Heritage, « Joshua's Anthem », un instrumental très cuivré avec Aba Ariginal, I-Jah Salomon. Pour terminer, la VF de la bande-annonce du biopic de Bob Marley, One Love, à sortir le 14 février prochain.

One A Dem #570 - 10 décembre 2023

On commence l’émission de ce soir avec le plus grand rassemblement de talents musicaux jamaïcains, Roots Architects, accompagné d’Ernest Ranglin & Tyrone Downie pour « Memories of Old » qui vient de sortir sur Fruits Records. TRS Records nous emmène ensuite dans les années 70 pour 2 disques produit par Jack Ruby : un 45 tours avec The Heptones et le titre « African Children », un titre majeur dans la discographie du Wolf Records + un maxi 12 pouces avec deux interprétations de "Come Away Jah Jah Children" par les Black Survivors et les Original Survivors, sorties-elles sur Fox Records. On continue l’émission avec un autre 7’’ sorti sur Samuel Records. Ras Tweed nous chante "Liard N Theef" sur une musique de Roberto Sanchez. On termine avec le label Steppas Records et 4 titres sortis sur le dernier album d’Alpha Steppa & Wellette Seyon, « Balance ».
