It’s no coincidence that this young, aspiring artist from West Philadelphia was given this name because of his lyrical ability to destroy any emcee who wishes to contest the greatness within him. Thus, August is his name and you can compare his lyrical onslaught to the hottest months of the season.



Born August 2, 1989, the talented musician started writing rhythms at the age of 13. In 2004, August made it to the semi-finals of the WUSLs Rock The Mic Tour Rap Contest, which ultimately landed him a permanent promotional advertisement slot for Jonesy's Morning radio show on Philadelphia's 103.9 The Beat. He has also landed on-air interviews with Hot 107.9’s radio personality, Kyle At The Club. August’s rise to stardom began with his first album, Driven, in which the titled track was produced by Derrick “D Dot” Angelettie. Angelettie’s clientele consists of P. Diddy, Jay Z and The Notorious B.I.G. After months of hard work, August found that his fans would not receive the album well. He bounced back from such a disappointment and vowed to embody the attitude of being Still Driven. Thus, the creation of his second album was birthed and released on August 31, 2012.







Recently, August and his Still Driven team have been promoting on online radio, blogs and was given the opportunity to open up for MMG's own Rick Ross and Meek Mill at The University of Delaware in April 2012. August's lyrical style is very aggressive. Attributing to his many influences are the greatest of emcees like Jay-Z, 2 Pac, and the Notorious B.I.G. The average listener can hear the hunger in his delivery from the first verse to the last. With a one of a kind flow and still in his prime, August has much to offer to the Hip Hop game in the years to come.

Day is a DJ, producer and musician from Palm Springs, California. He formed the Innernational Crew with DJ Rip One in 1995, and had subsequent appearances with Innernational on Return of the DJ III & Laid in Full. He has worked with Stones Throw recording artist Aloe Blacc and Clutchy Hopkins, as well as remixes for Quantic, Alice Russell, People Under The Stairs and more. He has shared the stage with artists from Amy Winehouse to Eminem in a career spanning the last decade and a half, as well as frequently touring the continents of Asia, Europe, North America, South America and Australia as both a solo artist and representative of Red Bull Music Academy and a regular of the world famous Do Over. He has released various singles as a solo artist, most notably "Four Hills" which was nominated for "Track of the Year" by Gilles Peterson's Worldwide show on BBC Radio 1 and used by DC Shoes for their PJ Ladd ad campaign. He currently hosts a weekly Thursday night party at The Ace Hotel Palm Springs.
