‘Levelz 2 Dis’ sees one of the most exciting collaborations not just to come out of the 1Forty camp, but the UK Garage scene, and the outcome has exceeded what was an already very high expectation. Simply put, we're talking about track of the year potential. A catchy melodic undertone rattled by a bassline that can only be described as nothing short of perfect, vocalled by a Coco at the very top of his game, to deliver a track that will ultimately go down as one of the stand out tracks of the NUKG era so far.

MPH has woven his sound into nearly every conceivable corner of UK dancefloors, strapping together monumental releases for some of the scenes most important imprints. From smooth garage creations with DJ EZ’s label Nuvolve, Kiwi Records, Southpoint and now 1Forty to be added to that list, to raucous bassline bangers for the likes of Night Bass & CruCast, its difficult to find a leading underground label within Garage & Bass music that MPH is yet to encounter.

Coco returns to the label after his feature on the Dance Dun Remix in October 2020 which saw a set on Sir Spyro’s BBC 1Xtra show to celebrate the release. The Sheffield MC and Producer has been steadily championing the grime scene for the north with his unapologetic delivery, colourful character and undeniable energy earning plaudits from the likes of Complex, DJ Mag, Red Bull, Noisey, i-D and regular backing from Annie Mac, DJ Target, Charlie Sloth and best mate Toddla T. Fresh off the back of performing at Stormzy’s Merky Festival at Ibiza Rocks and pairing with Sheffield United FC for their Premiership Kit Launch last year Coco delivered his best body of work to date with his ‘Regional Murker’ EP with Target and Toddla T giving it their ‘Targo Embargo’ and ‘Hottest Record In The World’ backing respectively. Going into 2020 Coco put out more productions but also still consistent with vocal releases including ‘Cooking’ alongside Jammz, Blay & Capo Lee and the powerful ‘I Love It (Black)’ in response to the BLM movement.

His top-tier calibre of releases across the last three years has seen the MC collaborate with standout names including AJ Tracey, Nadia Rose, Scrufizzer, Conducta, Shola Ama and of course fellow steel city don Toddla T. This stellar discography has seen him deliver ferocious sets across festival stages such as Glastonbury, Outlook, Annie Mac Presents: Lost & Found, Bestival, Notting Hill Carnival, Nass, Kendal Calling to name a few.

Murder He Wrote sees his first appearance on the label of 2022 with one of the most in demand and sought after bootlegs in the scene right over the past few months - a funky flip of Hazeys 'Packs & Potions'.

Blending elements of Broken Beat, UK Garage, Soca and House into his own off-kilter take on bass music, Murder He Wrote’s playful productions and edits have been destroying clubs worldwide for some years now. Originally breaking out via a flurry of releases on the Roska Kicks & Snares imprint, MHW’s tracks have gained heavy support from a diverse range of dance music's most respected tastemakers including Mary Anne Hobbs, DJ EZ, Gilles Peterson, Redlight and Jamz Supernova. Working across 3 decks, his eclectic, low-end focused DJ sets have seen him land guest mixes on BBC Radio 1, Boiler Room, NTS, Rinse FM and BBC 6Music - alongside a touring schedule that’s taken in clubs and festivals around the world including Fabric, Ministry Of Sound and Outlook.

Since 2019 we’ve seen a MHW Boiler Room debut, a production on Fox’s debut album ‘Juice Flow’ on Swing Ting (one of Mixmag’s albums of the year), the heavily supported singles ‘Honey Riddim’ ft Snowy and ‘Worthwhile’ ft. Logan, the latter making the A-List on Rinse FM and Spotify’s 'New Music Friday’, and DJ sets across Europe, North America and Australia. More recently there’s been two collaborations with UK Funky legend Roska, official remixes for Afro B, T-Pain, Zed Bias and Children Of Zeus plus an eclectic run of singles on MHW’s own Rhythm Athletic imprint - amassing over a half a million Spotify streams and support across BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, NTS and 6Music and more guest mixes across the stations too.

Moving to Bristol in the last couple of years, away from the capital, Fork And Knife has carved out a sound that pays homage to the underground scenes that have shaped him as a person over the past decade. Spreading his wings throughout Grime, Garage, Funky and Dubstep he’s applied techniques from producing different genres over the years with the result being unique structures with injections of sharp sound design using square wave basses and an often frantic yet stellar selection of drums. It’s not hard to understand why his sound is so original with 10 years of production under his belt. A sound thats seen him regularly touted as one of Funkys most exciting producers in recent years by Marcus Nasty and regularly stepping up on to Rinse FM, Reprezent and Flex FM over the last 4 years.

Fork And Knife made his debut on the label with a giveaway ‘Real Monsters’ in 2018 which gathered support from the likes of Toddla T on BBC Radio 1, and its follow up ‘Real Monsters VIP’ for the ‘2 Years Of 1Forty’ Release, the latter the following summer. The end of 2019 saw a triple header producing Killa P’s ‘They Don’t Know’ and collaborating with 9TRANE for ‘Check It’ both on 1FGRM004 before another Single with Grime’s youngest prodigy SBK for ‘Bars’. Fork And Knife resumed his allegiance to Dubstep with ‘Reptar’ on 1FGRM006 in December of 2020 before delivering another vocal with Jon E Clayface on ‘Come Correct’ in 2021. This latest production makes it his 5th consecutive year on the label.
