June 2018, 1Forty announces an annual birthday release, handpicking 1 track from each genre that we represent taken from 1Forty releases over that 12 month period. The artist will give that track the VIP treatment to give away for free as a thank you for the support over the course of the year.

Label mainstays Hamdi and Logan came together in December 2020 for ‘Bun Dem Down’. Hamdi initially served up an eastern-inspired Dubstep instrumental under Logan's highly recognisable flow and ragga vocals. However, the VIP is here to take things much darker.

An eagerly awaited debut from Burt Cope only landed on the label in May 2021 as part of 1FBSS006. 'Cellar' took inspiration from the bass sound of the initial resurgence in 2015/2016 and Burts favourite UK venue in Oxford 'The Cellar' where the sound initially regained traction before its closure a couple of years ago, so it only seemed right we got a VIP together to pay further homage for another fallen UK venue.

The Phat Controlla first made a splash on the label last summer with his take on ‘Ignited Flows’ from BBC Three’s UK Rap Game Champion - Graft. Exactly a year on we welcomed him onto the FNG series for his first official release with a four-to-the-floor speed garage warper channeling his inner northern roots for ‘IMSONORF’. After a #1 on Juno and amassing support from DJ EZ, DJ Q & Shosh (Kiss FM) amongst others it only seemed right to get the UKG prodigy to deliver a VIP with a more heavy-handed touch from his signature speed garage roots.
