Founded in 2013 by Nonfiction, the roots of UDM go way back to 1980's Los Angeles...

Hearing Brass Monkey and Sucker MC's playing out of boom boxes--seeing kids breakdancing, doing graffiti, and skateboarding...that feeling the first time you heard Roger and Zapp's "computer love"...and then the unmistakable thrill of dancing to house music and feeling that 4/4 beat pounding through your body and making you lose control!


A Healthy dose of Hip Hop, House, and an Urban environment are the fundamentals that encompass the spirit of UDM.  Urban Dance Music- spanning 3 decades of vibes, music and art.

Now in 2013 Via UDM- this spirit has an outlet, to keep this feeling alive, but giving it a contemporary twist.  The dance scene has become saturated via the glitz and glamour of "EDM",   UDM is the antithesis of this-- the "anti EDM"

UDM is for those who want to dig deeper, a reminder to remain unpretentious and a form of escape allowing us to find ourselves through the process of losing ourselves in the music.

Rock The Discotek (RTD) needs no introduction, but he certainly warrants one. Presenting legendary parties in San Diego, such as the ENTER THE TECH series, The Secret Formula, Danksgiving, Don’t Sweat The Technique, The Sounds Of Tomorrow and NYE Bloom all  at top secret exotic locations - Importing that magic “underground after hours vibes” from legendary clubs and festivals such as: The king king (LA) Space Ibiza, Amnesia, DC10, The Zoo Project, Glastonbury and Arcadia making it his own. The name "Rock The Discotek" was born after falling in love with the “Chord Memory" (Daft Punk Remix)The thriller proved to be a natural born killer behind the decks and has been tearing up dance floors across the globe.

Rock The Discotek works hard to show the world how he rolls with technique turntables and CDJs ‘n’ EFX: rinsing every mix, building energy, skillfully fusing an array of old and new school flavors, edits, bootlegs and acapellas into a slick Underground tribal signature style.

Rock The Discotek has a wicked music selection from all over the world. In recent years, he has opened up for top DJs which has gained the respect of fans throughout Canada, US, Mexico, Colombia, Brasil, UK, Ibiza.
