Track 1 - “Gary Clark”

(Gary Clark was a friend of mine that passed away on November 24th, 2022. I had met him through one of my good friends Kyle aka OCDKLEE, and every time I hung out with Gary he always welcomed me into his home with open arms. Even texted me when I hadn’t seen him for a while and told me to come visit, even though I had only met him a few times I could tell Gary was an amazing guy. Kindhearted, open minded, selfless, caring and loving to everyone around him, this was the kind of dude that would take the shirt off his back for you if you needed it. After Gary passed I made a promise to myself, Kyle and him that I would bring him with me anywhere I went, and that still stands true. Every time I perform, I hope that somewhere he’s watching. Every time I make a song, I wonder if he likes it. Making this song I wondered, if I was doing him the justice he deserved and carrying on his image well enough. The first time I performed this song on stage was the first time I had ever cried on stage, and was too choked up to even sing the lyrics. It was the first time I had ever, let myself get that emotional in front of a crowd of people. But when I saw Kyle and Arri some of his closest friends crying, I knew that I had at least portrayed his image well. While you listen to this song listen to the words close, hear the pain in what was said, and know that this man was an amazing soul, and may he rest peacefully. Rest in Peace Gary Clark (8/21/96-11/24/22) We miss you down here man, but hopefully God greeted you with the biggest smile, gave you your angel wings, and let’s you watch us through the sunsets.
