Ghost (noun): an apparition of a dead person which is believed to appear or become manifest to the living, typically as a nebulous image.

A little sweetness, a little chaos, and above all, a lot of freedom. We are very proud to reveal ‘GHOST’, the very first EP by LaCastagne emlaau, our friend and accomplice from the beginning.

Ghost, because, like sound, it is elusive. A discreet presence, but there, a mystical thing that is more guessed than revealed. We believe in ghosts or not—to each their own delusion.

This EP is the very essence of DALF. No plan, just exploration. Between analogue and digital, between the textures of the samples and the raw emotion of a melody played for hours on end. Shouting into a microphone after hammering away at a piano. Keeping the unexpected, embracing the accident, trusting the moment. Here, nothing follows a set path, everything is created through sensations. You no longer know whether you are dancing or thinking.

This song was born from a place of loss, obsession, and emotional paralysis—a time when the past felt more real than the present. I was holding onto a version of someone that no longer existed, chasing memories instead of reality. The echoes of old laughter, the weight of unspoken words, and the fear of truly letting go created a cycle of self-destruction and longing.
Writing "Obsession" was my way of breaking that loop—of acknowledging the pain but refusing to be defined by it. The song isn’t just about loss; it’s about the battle between remembering and moving forward. It’s about the ghosts we keep, the ones that shape us, and the strength it takes to stop chasing shadows.
