The sound design graduate has already graced Tsuba, Leftroom, Hot Creations, 20:20 Vision, Mothership and his own One Records imprint while forthcoming material for Culprit, Spectral and Crosstown Rebels is set to further an already cast-iron reputation.

From the tripped out tones of DʼZeta Nʼ Basile & Dodhaʼs ʻHorariaʼ and Alex Arnoutʼs ʻVanishing Pointʼ via punchier fare from Shenoda and Javier Caballo the mix nods at a multitude of vibes throughout. There are lunges towards Derrick Carter-esque funk and the occasional nod to warped minimalism but everything is drawn together into a tightly flowing and always-entertaining 12 track mix.

The second installment of “No Filler Just Killer” brings together a fresh batch of artists showcasing their dancefloor-ready weapons. Neapolitans Moonwalk finally release one of the hottest bangers of this summer and a Solomun favourite, “Phenomena”. Featuring fellow French producer Rafael Cerato, the groovy cut follows the producers’ outspoken motto of releasing quality deep house that doesn’t keep track of trends. Kellerkind’s “Destiny” slowly builds up on a gloomy, synth-laden bassline, sustaining a melodic tension even after the breakdown. Faint and discrete female vocal accents add an unpredictable depth and harmony, while metallic pads make up the backdrop. The third piece comes from Boy Next Door and unveils a rapid-paced pick up tune, where percussion sets the course. An array of synths, ranging from neutral to jarring add even more flow to the unrelenting dynamic of the track. We step into a dub infused area with Channel X’s ‘Supernova’, an otherworldly journey into spacious grooves lined up by restless zippy synths. The ever so charming KlangKuenstler is responsible for the closing number, entitled “Drunk in Chicago”. With a distinctively Chicago inspired tech-house lumpy bassline and rounded up synths, it’s an instant mesmerizer. After the hook, it only takes a wholesome drum pad loop to keep you on board and enjoy the ride.

Paris local Marcelo Cura partners up with Origins of Time to create a breathtaking EP aptly titled ‘Dunes’. The title track lays down a bumpy path of hardened kicks and snappy percussion, creating a rolling energy as the pads rise and the soul of the track is teased and eventually revealed. Next the collaborators bring us ‘Ouhou’. This one follows the same framework as laid out by ‘Dunes’, and rightly so. A firm kick with a flow against sharp percussives maintains a constant pressure as the track opens. ‘Ouhou’ then plays its strings elegantly against the desert soundscape, bringing the track to life and giving the EP a spirited energy.
